No out of court settlement has nothing to do with a criminal case. If the victim does not want to sue Polanski in a civil court then it's up to her. Once she or her parent filed a complaint the matter is in the hands of a criminal court and that's when the dude fled the country. I hope that makes sense. Musalaadu isn't suffering in any single way for his crimes. He is living in a Swiss chalet, enjoying the high flying life of rich people all over the world but for US. Tell me in what single way he paid for his crimes? Why is it ok to sodomize a 13 yr old and run away? What kind of example would the system set for the next polanski type guy if they let this guy get away with this? I think people will react in a much different way if it was someone they know personally that was affected in this kind of situation. | ||

Then what about the out-of-court settlements? Its all money.. agree or disagree.. may be we love to hate guys like polanski.. but he paid his dues.. and the girl is happy.. ippudu aa musalonni pattukunte tappu right avadu.. right wrong avadu.. already he is facing debarrment from usa.. and some other european countries.. It doesn't matter that woman who was 13 at the time of her rape no longer wants to prosecute him. That is not how the system of justice works. He committed a crime and he needs to go through the justice system and pay for his crimes. If this guys is not rich and famous somebody everyone would want him prosecuted. | ||
