its easier said than done.. take this.. when anyone is in 90's even a novice cantain will get all fielders to try and stop a single.. no frontline player can take risk of throwing the wicket away at that stage..that lets a few dot balls for sure.. that doesnt mean that they play for a milestone.. Sachin does not play for India...all the 17K runs and 12K runs he scored in one day and test matches went into his account and weren't part of the Indian scoreboard....all the 50+ man of the match awards he scored were his personal gains and never was given to the game he played for India... In 1996 and 2003 world cup matches...he stood like Mount Everest among the run scorers from all countries and yet he didn't contributed to the success of Indian team.... he should have scored nearly 180+ in the 250 odd runs against SL in the Semi-Finals of 1996 WC, he just scored 60+ runs and got out in that match and same is the case with 2003 WC, he should have scored 200+ runs in the finals...and he just scored all those runs of himself and not the country... The way he treats the youngsters, the way he represented the country and the way he earned the respect through out the world....was just because of his selfish deeds.... Players like SACHIN shouldn't be in the teams like India because he plays for himself and the runs he scores doesn't ever count towards the Indian scoreboard....
