Watched the movie last night... The movie begins in 2009 with an Indian researcher discovering solar neutrinos baking the core of the Earth like a microwave and causing the crust to shift and break apart. The government is warned, and decides to keep it a hidden secret until the last minute... The catastrophe begins in summer 2012....John Cussack's character takes his kids there for vacation and yellowstone starts to blow up. They drive back to California, which soon crumbles into the sea, and they escape narrowly on a private plane.. India, Asia,the United States,Europe are demolished by earthquakes & tsunamis. Wisconsin becomes the South Pole, so I would assume North America becomes the new Antarctica, and Africa is the only continent that is spared, as it rises 1000's of ft The people rescued by the arks in the Himalayas are transported to South Africa where they begin new civilization...
