Be persistent. Have all the proof needed to show them that you had no access to your account and you weren't getting any emails about the old account. Typically the way it works when citi cancels ur old card due to security breaches, they transfer all the balance to the old card and once you receive new card and activate it, u can't access your old card anymore. In your case they should be able to confirm when you activated the new card and when your old card was cancelled. Go 2 managers above if needed. The first one who takes ur call and the one above are useless. I guess this is a lesson for all of us to not pay unless you know u really used the card for whatever $$ amount. Most of us don't even track our purchases on a monthly basis. | ||

If it is still not resolved try again tomorrow. Ittanti crap issues ni handle seyyadaaniki too much patience kaavali. Naa issue oka Laptop return ki I have fought for 1 month completely almost every day oka 1-2 hour call. You also be prepared... As a last resort if this is still not resolved then file a case with BBB. Veellani approach avvadam lo kooda oko saari manchi results vasthaayi. Sometime back I had a dead lock issue with Citi card.... adi nenu BBB ki report chesaaka.. finally Citi came back and resolved the issue. So try all the options... don't give up. Good Luck! Naa daggara oka Citi credit card 5yrs nundi undi. Oka 11/2 yr nundi occasionally use chestunanu. So 0 balance maintain chestanu. Oka 6 months ago oka letter pampadu. Mee account lo data compromise ayyindi, maa system lo problem valla. Mee old account close chesi new card pamputhamu ani. Nenu sare ani new card kosam wait chesanu. Kani Card raledu. Ee account problem vachinappati nundi I was not able to access my online account. I was not receiving paper statements either. The Citi guy did not mention of any balance on the account that was closed. Recently 20 days ago, online choosthe I was able to access my account. It had a balance of about $230. Looked like I had a balance of, may be 20$. All the rest was late fee. I called up Citi, and told them the problem with my account, and that I was not able to access my account, and hence had no idea of a balance on it. He said he can't do anything, about it. My CC has been closed, and cannot be reopened. They reported this to the credit bureau also, for no mistake of mine.
