The sabotage theory being floated by the Jaganmohan Reddy camp on the helicopter crash leading to former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy on September 2 is said to be aimed at attacking YSR’s friend and advisor K V P Ramachandra Rao. Sources said Telugu daily Sakshi has been highlighting the sabotage angle in YSR’s death, with a view to embarrassing KVP, who is also chairman of the Committee on Public Safety and Security, as Jagan had fallen off with him in the recent past. “Jagan is angry with KVP as he thinks the latter had not put forth his case strongly before the high command. He is even suspecting that KVP might have, in fact, given a negative report to Sonia,” sources said. This is being taken advantage by the anti-Jaganmohan camp in the Congress. They used it to attack KVP. “If at all there is any lapse in providing security to YSR, the blame should be on KVP. He was supposed to take care of all security angles of the CM, as mentioned in the Sakshi report. If the sabotage theory is correct, KVP has to be held responsible,” they said. And it has also given an opportunity to Chief Minister K Rosaiah to get rid of KVP! |
