You don't need a converter for laptop, cell phone chargers (most of them), video cams etc. They do support multi-voltage... ranging from 110-220 volts. All you need a plug adapter... go to any electrical store in India and you will get it for Rs.5 Inka small grinders antaava.. depends on the power wattage... correct details telisthe it would be easy.
