REVIEW

Story

Durga (Jagapathi babu) is a big factionist in Hyderabad. He has a sister (Neha) whom he takes care off from her childhood and she is very dear to him. Durga has a rival "Taslim Khan" based in Old city and Neha's life is under threat bcos of the gang fights between both groups

Neha is always followed by bodygaurds and her body gaurds try to beat up some innocent student in college thinking he might be having links with Khan.Somebody in college calls his friend on Mobile asking to help his innocent friend.A series of Phone calls are shown and msg reaches some one and the phone calls stop with this guy.He is none other than Charan Tej who gives life for friendship. He comes to the college in minutes and here is the introduction fight of hero.Elevation of hero is handled excellently by Puri Jagannadh and this is by far the most powerful introduction any new hero got in last decade.

The scenes following revolve around how heroine gets impressed by charan's quality risking his life for somebody he doesnt even know and she falls in love with him in her first look. First half of movie goes really fast with good comedy timing by Charan and his friends (Sunil,Venumadhav etc). There are some gripping moments in the movie when Jagapathi Babu and Charan meet one another and Jagapathi babu doesnt know that Charan is the same guy who hit his men in college. Interval bang comes in a way where Charan goes to Old city into Khan's den, gives him warning and comes back.By the end of first half, the expectations of people will be set very high about the second half.

Second half deals with how Charan shows the power of youth to fightout both gangs in the city with his intelligence and how Charan manages to win his love by overpowering Jagapathi Babu. The film has to be watched on screen and is a treat to fans and very enjoyable to movie lovers.

Artists:

CharanTej : Son of megastar Chiranjeevi is launched with a dream project directed by Puri Jagannadh. On the looks front, Charan looked cool and sporty wearing jeans and TShirts,he is sure to get huge following of girls in cities. Acting wise he has shown the sparks of brilliancy with his histrionics in a few vital scenes (scene challenging Jagapathi Babu/Khan and the climax scene). He did good in sentiment scenes as well. His voice needs some toning and modulation. Charan is very good at dancing and he is a true successor to megastar. The ease of dance and expressions shown by him are amazing.

Neha: She looks pretty tender and glamourous and suited her role verywell. Her dubbing was fine and there is no much scope of proving her acting skills in the movie. She has to wait for her next movies to prove herself

Jagapathi Babu : Jagapathi Babu gets the lion share of footage in this film. By now, Prakash Raj has done so many roles like this, but puri's attempt to cast Jagapathi Babu made many scenes refreshing. Jagapathi Babu proved himself again that he rocks at roles of underworld Don.

Technical Departments:

Story - Screenplay - Direction: Puri is known for his exceptional handling of action scenes and his mark is evident through out the movie. There is nothing new in story but Screenplay is very crisp and he succeeded to make movie very interesting to public.

Music: The main asset of the film are tunes given by Manisarma and dances by Charan

1. Ososi Raakasi : This song is shot in college and is choregraphed by Lawrence. By the time the song is completed Charan is established as a great dancer in the minds of movie watchers. Charan's steps are going to be treat to megafans
2. Enduko : The picturisation of this song is very good with some animated characters coming to persuade charan and Charan trying to get away from them. For a moment Charans expressions resemble to that of Pawan Kalyan in Kushi and are sure to entertain the college crowd.
3. Champka : This peppy number is good and once again charan proves his dancing ability with sharp steps
4. Ivvale : This is a racy number shot in bankok and the tune is catchy. There is not much scope for dance but the song was shot very richly
5. Love you raa: Love u raa is the romantic song shot in beach, photography is excellent. Heroine throws lot of glamour to this song.
6. Maaro Maaro: This is the best song of the film. Puri stored the best song to the end and Charan does a couple of mass steps in this song. This song comes as a visual treat to masses.

Production: The movie comes from the most prestigious producer of Telugu cinema - Aswini Dutt and the production values are very rich.

Analysis:

First half of the film is good as it establishes basic characters of the film. The tempo is built up by intermission with the interval bang. The second half is very fast and pacy. The climax is handled very well and leaves the movie watchers with a pleasant feeling and makes sure they carry a positive (hit) talk when they go out of theatre. We have to wait and see how big the movie is going to be and Chirutha is sure to break many of the existing records

Jeevi/GA/AV/CG/TI/FC etc etc Rating : 4/5
