Apply a good 3 months before your H-1 validity expires. While applying for extension you lawyer will mention how long they want extension depending on that you may get 1 or 2 yrs extension. Your I-94 determines how long you can stay. Even if your have enough time on your H-1, check the date on I-94 and that will be your last date you can stay legally in US Go Patriots Go | ||

u can stay 6 yrs from feb 2007..so upto feb 2013...u need to apply labor by feb 2012 to get extension after 6 yrs | ||

pakka thread travelling lo naku doubt ochindi..pls clarify... 1) for my 1st H1b, I got stamped in oct 2006..but officer stamped it only till jun 2008..hardly 2 yrs.. 2) for my 2nd h1b, i got stamped in nov 2008..this time the officer stamped it only till feb 2011.. iam in the US from feb 2007..how long can i manage to stay in the US without filing for a GC? koncham complicated question..please answer.. |
