If a corruption case supposed to have happened in 1987, is not investigated till 1998, and you say, it is the fault of the govt that only formed in 1998, that the case has not been investigated. God be with Indians !!! -- i take this point.....though.... It didnt need to be BJP and 1998 to take up this case..... previous govt should have dealt with them..... only that if BJP picks it up ......it looks like vengance.... but we need to learn to accept courts judgements as well....not just what we want as a conclusion..... fine .. after all, there is a limit to what one can fight. Bofors is not about BJP. It is about who got the money. How, time and again, the offenders used the powers at their discretion to subvert judiciary and state machinery. LOL .. we are talking about India. If I am heading the central govt, I can get a favorable verdict on the same case within the next 1 year. Ofcourse, my opponents will also surely lobby. It is about which judge is in the bench that is sitting on the case and what are their affiliations. It is that much simple ! --- i dont think it is that straight forward for ruling govts sir..... If so...BJP would have got their version as the conclusion kadha? same can be said about other cases as well.... r u saying...BJP is the only party...that did not indulge in getting the bofors case done and dusted in the way they wanted ? you said.. a ruling govt can get their way in 1 year kadha? oh you must be saying...BJP is so clean that...they didnt touch the bench or judges and waited for justice to happen to Rajiv.....and allow him to be cleared under their govt...... Not an allegation by any measure. That is the reason why I gave you the editorial of N. Ram of The Hindu, who is aggressively pursuing the case since 1988. Btw, if Hindu has to be affiliated to a party or political leaning .. it is the most lef-leaning newspaper in India.

If the govt deliberately asks its Public Prosecutors to argue with the court that, this is the evidence we have, you take it or ask them to go away, that surely rises the doubts. You can ask any lawyer, how things are dealt in a court of law. If you deliberately conceal the available evidence in order to facilitate a subversion of law, then that is by far, stooping to the lowest ! By that time, the BJP govt was dissolved and election dates were announced. Also the case was in the Delhi High Court where the Delhi State Govt has more jurisdiction than the Central Govt. I still hope, truth comes out one day, if not for the money. It is true that Rajiv and the relatives of Sonia were involved in that scam, and that is the reason why many ministers in his cabinet including Arun Nehru (Rajiv's best friend, cousin and key aide), VP Singh, Amitabh (just an MP) all resigned. No wonder, the deal broke the trust of all those people who knew in and outs of the murky dealings !!! lol .. asalu Bofors case start start chesinde BJP ee vishayam lo .. upto 1998 .. kanisam prima facie evidence/facts kooda collect cheyyanivva ledu govt ni .. and till 2004 .. the govt had very strong position in the case .. kaavalante .. you can google it and know .. after the UPA came up in 2004 .. first thing they did was to dilute the case by misleading the Delhi High Court and then letting Quattrochi guy let go in Malaysia and then Argentina.
