By the look, debba esthadi.. nenu inkaa research chesthaa.. Basic gaa, when I connect 299 PS3 and load guitar hero cd, Iam not getting all the audio modes on my receiver.. just two anthe.. but 399 meedaa chaalaa modes ostunnai including Dts.. Asalu CD load cheyyangane, oka range music ostadi.. I felt right away on 299, that it aint doin it.. asale quality ki praanam ichhe type nenu.. oka vandha ekkuva ainaa parledu, 399 tho adjust avuthaa.. I will do some trials and let you know.. LG BD390 ki manchi reviews unnayi (I don't own this). Its a good bluray/dvd player with all upscaling and decoding features. Specs lo DLNA protocol support chestundi ani undi. This means you should be able to stream audio/video from a network computer to LG player. If this works same as PS3 then it is definitely worth considering. PS3 has everything plus kitchen sink :-) I am not a gamer either but after hooking upto Guitar Hero, I started loving its gaming capabilities. Main difference is in video-on-demand services. If you are netflix/CinemaNow subscriber, you can stream movies to LG player over ethernet/wifi. As of now, PS3 only supports Amazon's VOD. As I netflix subscriber, I say they don't have all movies available for streaming as opposed to renting. So netflix suppport was not a deal-breaker for me. | ||

Sorry if I have offended you. I saw the specs for the speakers (1" driver which is both tweeter and woofer that cannot go below 800Hz). If you understand the speakers technology you would know-- Sony cannot bend rules of physics to make the speakers play all frequencies with such tiny size. The sub is playing above 80Hz means you start hearing dialogs from subwoofer instead of low freq noise. Well, if you are happy with your purchase then good for you. | ||

Technically it should.. box meeda 'Dts' icon koodaa undi.. but its not doing.. me connecting via HDMI1.3. The quality of the piece itself speaks.. naasi rakam.. Generally, receiver should give lot of options.. like mono, stereo, DD, xxx neo dts.. etc.. 399 connect cheste ivannee ostunnai.. but 299 connect cheste only: All channels and something other.. Technically PS3 supports bitstream audio over HDMI so you should get the DD/DTS through receiver. Infact, PS3 slim even bitstreams HD audio over HDMI which old version could not. May be, nuvvu konna player defective emo... you can replace it showing the defect... | ||

I bought PS3 two months back.. for 399.. ninna 299 ki slim konukkochhi guitar hero game aadithe telisindi difference.. DTS output raavadam ledu.. but 399 ps3 lo ostundi... there is a clear difference in sound quality and video quality.. and 299 oka range lo heat ekkutundi.. overall, 299 one sucks.. eerozu vaapas ichhestaa.. Nice setup. For starters, Windows Home Server avasaram ledhu. I would prefer Energy Take 5 over Klipsche speakers. Koncham deals chooste, you can assemble this for $1000-1200 which beats any of the sony (junk) systems. | ||
