u might know , masters is a pain. effort wise or moneywise. if she wants to get a masters degree for better chances at h-1 or GC, i think its not worth it. if she really wants to study, only then go for MS. So if you want to bear the fee from your pocket, you can ask her to join in a school. and frankly, consulting chese uddesam unte .. MCA/Btech/MS .. difference emi ledu .. konchem elaborate chestanu...this is for my wife. She has MCA from Osmania. About 1yr exp in .NET in Hyd. Given the H1b situation the fix is whether to prepare for software certifications and try for jobs from the next H1B season, or go for an MS. One of my friends already wasted about 4k for H1B filing (not picked first time, query second time). Experienced consultants plz advise. | ||

I am not sure if MCA courses(depending on which unin in India) will count towards MS as BS/Btech credits. Please check with the MS university first. Also, if you are highly interested in research areas like s/w enng, n/w programming and other core computer science areas, I wud advise to go for MS rather than H1. MS or H1 end of the day poota gadavataanikay antay go for H1. chaduvukovaali anay personal choice first preference ayithay MS. Why so Serious? | ||
