I have seen this video on metacafe a while ago.. truth is that the leopard lost its cub recently and hence the confused adoption of the baby baboon. also, there is a similar video of a lioness adopting a calf after she lost her cubs. but the male lion kills the calf in the end.  its pure maternal instincts.. it aint no miracle. | ||

oh Ok...yeah may be! many questions arise from the video. Was the leopard guilty for killing the mother? what would happen to the baby after few months? how long the affection continued?did the leopard eat the dead baboon? etc. Its very interesting to analyze animal consciousness. Sometimes I wish life had subtitles! | ||

Though what you said is true of animals, it is mostly the non-violent species that we get to hear about like monkey taken care by a dog etc .. This leopard - baboon cuddling is very very special to me. Especially, the way it realized that it killed the mother of the baby baboon and hence assumed the mothers place.
