thatz becoz they don't value test cricket that much.. -- idhi konchem purists way laaga ledhu..... all over the world test cricket has lost its shine.....If we as players and cricket fanatics think Test cricket is only cricket....wrong anukunta.... other forms of cricket have come up and doing well.....there is no ruling that one form of cricket should only played and worshipped..... for 90% of veiwers it's entertainment and what ever form gives it more that wins.....unfortunate but true.... young players play to the same tune...... even today only a closely contested test is great to watch.......where as short form gurantees that entertainment 90% of the time..... personally i like cricket....in any form....tests are pure 'tests' of player calibre...... good interview but his take on rankings is not correct i think... you dont look at names and give rankings....it is their perfoamance in recent past..... by his theory there will only be one No.1 Sachin...... harsha is great to listen to though..... 'everything has to be news in India, just as there has to be a cruel mother-in-law, a docile daughter-in-law, a philandering son, so even in your group of eleven players all these characters have to be there. So, Tendulkar must have something wrong with Dravid, and there must be a conspiracy against Ganguly, and there must be something about Yuvraj, so I don't know how many people are now interested in cricket as a game.' 'Teams like Australia, which have always won, don't know what to do in situations where they are not winning. Ricky Ponting said we are at our best with our backs to the wall. I think that is exactly the converse of reality.' 'look at the scoreboard, how many times Australia were 200, 220-5 and Gilchrist took them out. Now because they don't have Gilchrist, 200-5 is not becoming 380-400, it is becoming 260, and I think that is why they are losing as well.' 'In all fairness, Gautam Gambhir is a seriously good cricketer, but do you look at him and say world number one? I hope he becomes that some day, but today is he number one?' 'What is happening is, a lot of our boys are playing very well for short periods.' http://cricket.rediff.com/slide-show/2009/sep/18/slide-show- 1-interview-harsha-bhogle.htm |
