Flipside - my own experience- We grew up moving states and languages all thru school life - while its not easy , we did not find it that tough either..despite the added challenge that we had to learn a new language with every move  We learned to make friends fast - kids are more resilient than we give them credit for The downside was not having continuous friendships thru the teenage years It was a little tough to catch up in school the first 3-4 months in a new school - had to work a little harder to beat the teacher's pets etc But the huge benefit was the adaptability and flexibility it built into us - If I am able to walk into a crowd of unfamiliar people and strike up conversations without feeling awkward or out of place, I think it is thanks to all that replanting thru my growing years Pros and cons to everything aa chal ke tujhe main leke chalu ik aise gagan ke tale jahan gam bhi na ho, aansoo bhi na ho,bas pyaar hi pyaar pale | ||

Depends on your visa status,age, priorities and risk tolerance. Single or even married with stay-at-home spouse with young children ayite consulting is fine as your risk tolerance is higher and there is no need to stick to a place.Infact, this is a pretty good way to move to different places and see the country If kids are older , then staying in a place to help them grow relationships/roots becomes important. At this point having both parents in the same place is critical to my mind-otherwise it is like a single parent family.I am old school enough to want all my family at the dinner table every night - so hubby gave up the $$$$$ in consulting and settled for a FT job - no regrets so far aa chal ke tujhe main leke chalu ik aise gagan ke tale jahan gam bhi na ho, aansoo bhi na ho,bas pyaar hi pyaar pale | ||
