Krishna Prasad, principal of a degree college, was at a birthday party watching obscene dances along with several prominent businessmen of Visakhapatnam, when a police task force team spoilt the midnight revelry. The guest list included the son of a retired Inspector General of Police and six dancers from Mumbai who were arrested in an inebriated condition. Incidentally, the Finance Minister had come to the city on an official visit and was accosted by the media about the arrest of his son-in-law. The tactful minister said that the TDP had no right to criticise him as the situation prevailing was the result of their nine-year misrule. Finance minister K. Rosaiah got zapped last week when son-in-law Pyda Krishna Prasad was arrested by a police task force team at a Vizag hotel while watching a striptease. The scene: the birthday bash of builder Phanindra at Hotel Meghalaya. Prasad and six others, including public prosecutor G. Satyam, ex-IG R. Ramachandraiah�s son R. Chandrakanth and Vizag Chamber of Commerce president K. Vijay Kumar were among the guests present. When the task force arrived at midnight, the girls from Mumbai and Hyderabad had stripped to their underclothes and were about to lose those as well. Task force SI K. Vijayanand said, "Had we been a little late, the worst would have happened." Cases have been registered against all the offending parties.
