Once the PD becomes current the chances of getting a GC thorugh CP are more because not many people are on CP and embassy sends out interview letters to those whose PDs are current and are on CP. When the PD dates become current for you and you are on AOS, you are competing with a large number of other applicants. so whats the point to go through CP process if you have a job here and want to stay here. CP is only for people who want to move back to their home country/another country and dont want to abandon their I485. CP does not give you any extra benefit over AOS | ||

GC details: PD: Dec 2003 RD: Aug 2007 Labor cert category: EB2 EAD applied twice: 1st in Aug 2007 and second in July 2008 (got it for 2 years) AP applied once: A trip to India made Ac21: Did not file intentionally, though shifted to another company on EAD 6 months after 485 filing Unlucky: the dates got retrogressed and when I had availability the applciations with PDs of 2005 and 2006 got approved. Final mails form CRIS: got 2 mails out of 3. ist is CPO mail on Sep1st and 2nd is notices sent on Sep8th. Received physical cards--one on 8th another on 10th. So all set.
