There are 2 things about this movie that puzzled me to no extent. One is the screen play, did somebody really go thru the entirety of the screenplay and asked questions about the meaningfulness of a few of the episodes, their continuity and their relevance to the scheme of the movie and what is achived in terms of effect and impact, that movie were to have at the end of first half.

The second is about the heroin, we were told to believe that the heroin is selected based on her performance not based on her looks, and the demand of the character w.r.t histrionics. This is not at all true, her character does not have any depth at all and it would have been easily played any bollywood import. And on top of this, the same female it seems like, has already acted in 2/3 b-grade tamil movies and already debuted there. What made Nag to select her in this movie?? Did he seriously think before having her in the movie!!!

Havingfun:

Did you compare old model and new model in the aspect of story ??? or did you mean to compare two different generations of actors from same family?

i was trying to compare the debug movies of these two heroes ... and their acting prowess in those comparable times ...

Chivuks:

Well i thought it was a story about my car until i watched this movie Josh, the same story from new model to old model here as well. Old model is nothing great, but new model makes you think otherwise!!!

I bought my santro car, just 1 year in to getting the job, which i loved for several years just for the fact that it was my new car and it brought a whole lof of luck to me in the sense that it never broke down while we were taking those big trips/long drives and even if it broke down very rarely, it would do next to place where help exists. Over its life time, it developed several scratches, , some parts falling off to aging and eventually one day when i saw a latest model of santrol getz 1.3L i thought my car is too old and too ugly and time for checking out the new model. Paid a lot of money and bought the car, after driving for a while, i realized that there were not many new features that are useful in the new model and performance wise i prefer the old one a lot better now. The new one promised a lot but delivered too little and am sure it would be replaced in the market very soon.

Well i thought it was a story about my car until i watched this movie Josh, the same story from new model to old model here as well. Old model is nothing great, but new model makes you think otherwise!!!

I can not post a review here though, as i am not eligible, as i could not withstand the whole of the movie and departed just when biking tragedy happens. Donno how much more movie is left after this. But this movie makes you think more about the new director than the new hero, what an irony. This new director seriosuly needs some schooling in filming, before he can make movies on colleg'ing.

I have seen loads of movies where, the protagonist behaves differently, indifferently to various turns of evens in the story, but the logic is revealed either in parallel or a little later, until we reach interval where things go black and white and stage is set for some meaningful action. In this movie, after 2 odd hours, until i left, i did not understand a bit about the awkward behaviors, body language and weird interactions of the hero with the rest of the world, that makes it almost a punishment to sit thru and watch the movie.

NC is all about some good screen presence and some bearable smile occassionally, and that is all he has in offer. After a couple of dance sequences and fights, you dont even realize if he had actually done anything to justify his dance/fight capabilities. His diction and dialogue delivery lives up to the expectations of his dad in his own days as new hero. His facial moments are pretty awkward to convey any meaningful emotions, but very rarely in the movie he could show a little difference in his performance, may be there is a bit of light in the midst of pitched darkness somewhere.

As we settled down and movie rolled, i leaned over to whisper to my friend that probably he should have taken a tip or two about being flexible in dances, and probably Jr NTR should have coached him. A stranger from the row behind leaned over us to say, it looks more to me like jagapathi babu trained him. We had a good laugh.

A nag look alike in venky's mould of walking and talking and with Jagapati babu's signature ease in emoting, is what i summarized myself about NC.

Overall i got joshified, but only after i could make the decision to leave the theatre towards the end, and that fresh air outside could reset my mind's temperature levels.
