Cocanada:

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THESE TWO ?

Expressions are key for Brahmi and Ali icons. They can be replaced by other comedian's icons conveying similar meaning/expression.

But 'Bala' brand is key for Bala icons. We cannt substitute them with any other. In many Bala icons, we cannt predict what strange thing he's trying to convey without watching the actual scene. Besides, posting external Bala icon irritates mods, but not Brahmi's or Ali's.

Cocanada:

u mean all bala's expressoins are not directed at someone. they are just reactions to situations. thats why they are not funny?

Cocanada:

Vishvak:

Brahmi and Ali icons are expressions shown towards somebody/some incident as a reaction in the movie... By posting those icons the poster is showing the similar expression towards the post he/she quoted... So properly used based on the context they look funny...

But Balayya icons are the expressions (or reactions) to an incident (or scene) not directed towards someone... If we dont know any context or no BG music then we are confused about the expressions

As DBers, we all know how useful clipart GIFs are for communicating.

Laughing, surprise, warning, kindalling, ragging, almost any feeling can be communicated better in form of clipart than words.

Though we are so used to these cliparts, the cliparts posted by Dr.Jujubi (Yes. Recently, I came to know he is a medical doctor. HE IS A SMART FELLA!) created tumult in the DB.

While watching Mitrudu, no one laughed during the 'Method Acting' moment.
If he actually posted youtube link to Vijayendra Varma last song instead of GIFs, it would not have had the same impact.

So, why GIFs have more impact than videos?

1. GIFs completely eliminate the context of the actor's expression. VV icons will not be sooo funny if we knew that the clips are part of highly emotional song. Method acting will not funny if we knew its part of tragic scene.

2. Absence of background music. There is no music to support the artist's expression

Inspite of eliminating context and music, why other cliparts are not so funny? Why they dont make you feel "He doesn't know what he is doing" ?

Brahmi, Ali icons are funny.

But there are 2 types of funny
