When YSR got elected for the first time, I hated to see him as CM as there were stories of factionist background and being from Rayalaseema, I always hated the politicians there as most of them had these factionists background and were killing and getting killed like dogs. So to begin with, I never had a good opinion about YSR. To make my beleifs more stronger, one of the first files he signed was to release convicted murderer (forgot his name) who was his friend. And on top of that there were wide spread corruption charges during the Jalayagnam contract awards. But, I think 2 or 3 years into his ruling, I slowly started changing my opinion on him as THERE WAS REAL PROGRESS in the commenced projects, and the poor people WERE REALLY GETTING the benefits of the numerous FREE schemes he started like Indiramma Illu, Free Current, Rajeev Arogya Sree & Fee waivers etc. Even though I don't like any free schemes, I WAS AMAZED TO SEE PEOPLE REALLY GETTING BENEFITED (I always saw these schemes ENRICHING few politicians and their cronies), this is the first time I SAW REAL PEOPLE GETTING BENEFITED. Also so far, I am used to the politicians who gave all kinds of election promises, but YSR is the ONLY POLITICIAN WHO IMPLEMENTED ALMOST ALL THE ELECTION PROMISES. I am always AMAZED WHERE IS GETTING ALL THE MONEY NEEDED FOR THESE SCHEMES, but some how HE WAS SUCCESSFUL IN CONTINUING ALL THESE WITHOUT MAJOR ALLEGATIONS. So I slowly started changing my opinion on him. Even though I hated to see his son getting so RICH AND POWERFUL due to the fact that his father was CM, I thought OK he got rich through corruption, BUT PEOPLE ARE GETTING BENEFITED and WORKS ARE GOING ON. So, I am completely changed my view on YSR and was happy to see people getting benefited under his rule. Finally when I saw people's reaction to his death, I think he is MORE POPULAR CM than anyone else given the fact that he is non-movie related person. AND I STRONGLY BELEIVE THAT HE DESERVES ALL THE AFFECTION HE IS GETTING FROM THE PEOPLE. FINALLY I AM HAPPY THAT I AM PROVEN WRONG. May god bless his soul. | ||

Last year india vellinappudu naaku clear ga kanipinchinavi indiramma houses and arogya sri policy and its benefits..my entire family of doctors,each and every one said arogya sri is really working....ofcourse benefit also goes to corporate hospitals..bagane chesadu anipinchindi..the same feeling i had with cbn when i witnessed hyd development.. but for me opinion on cbn.. was down fall from then..but in ysr's case, i never expected that he can pull of 2009 elections in that style..being chiru fan i expected decent performance,but the way ysr crushed his opponents is ruthless..then i felt..guts ante idi ani..and his smile..oka ahankaram to koodina naavvu..opponents ki ekkado kaale behavior..emi peekuntavo peeko attitude aite too much..and last 3 days the way state reacted..just way beyond what i expected.. | ||

As personal traits I admire YSRs diligence. Walking 1500+ km in summer when you are 50+, even for the CM post, is not a trivial task. Cannot be a hypocrite saying that he is a good CM. Never liked any of his policies, and anybody who read some of my posts will know that. It is sad that some are giving examples of his corruption as his virtues. Perfectly put. Again do not form opinions that I am celebrating his death. I do not think anybody can wish such a death even to his bitterest foes. | ||

would like to share a couple of stories from a highly placed friend in HYD he was sharing these when he was here last yr it gave me a brief glimpse of what YSR was and why people absolutely bowed to him if i mentioned these before pls bear with me and read throgh again if you find it interesting there's this guy in wgl who is a hardcore fan of YSR since the early 80s or something, he just had the utmost adulation for ysr and used to tie banners for ysr whenevr there were elections and celebrate his bday and was laughed at by the local people since ysr wasnt a known or very popular leader back in the day he did this for several yrs and the day ysr was sworn in as cm you can only imagine what this guy might have done apparently someone with access to ysr informed him of this guy and on his next tour he made sure he stopped there picked that guy up and asked him what he wanted and gave him some works to do similar case with a dalit mla from tgana who took along a known person who wanted some work to be sanctioned in his constituency ysr sent the other guy away and took this leader aside and asked him what is there in this for you, this quaked in his boots and told him 1 lakh isthanu annarayya ok 5 cr works project ysr navvesi 15 cr sanction chesi ee work nuvve chei kaneesam 5 cr miguluddi next time election ela fight chesthaav nuvvu bagupadali kada ani cheppi pampaadu anta pai danni idealists ela interpret chesukunna parledu but for me personally i was bloody blown off work kosam elthe naku entha isthav ane leaders ne chusaanu thappa ila thanavalla kosam thanani abhimaninchina valla kosam edaina cheyatam is something else | ||

I like him for his smile, determination, political acumen, destroying naxals, not allowing groupism in Congress and love for farmers and agriculture. 2 particular moments I liked were .. signing of Free Current for farmers and acid case lo 3 culprits ni encounter cheyyadam. I do not have a good impression for his faction background, minority appeasement, Gandhi - Nehru family sycophancy ( Congress nachadu due to the same), Hyd terror attacks culprits ni pattukokunda, terror infrastructure ni choosi choodanattu vadileyyadam. Over all, he has a different Congress CM. The only time I voted for Congress was due to his charisma and some personal relations. Inka life time lo aa chance malli vastundi ani anukonu ! Anyways, may his soul rest in peace. | ||

i never knew much about ysr and as much as i knew i never liked him courtesy our media which always propagated him to be the bad guy and also the rumours about his involvement in the clashes in old city in the past when he won in 2004 my opinion was the state has gone to the dogs and how can a person like cbn lose but after a few yrs of his rule and seeing some progress my opinion has gradually changed the way he built his legacy and the absolute loyalty he commands from the downtrodden, his personality of speaking his mind and absolute fearlessness and follwing what he believes in no matter what consequences be damned can only be looked , applauded and cheered on by lesser mortals like me and millions other 2009 may 16 was the day i completely surrendered to him though it was a devastating day for me as a chiru supporter i couldnt stop applauding at this true hero and felt corrected that my belief system is flawed and the people of AP knew better i feel pride , and i feel a sense of loss like i have never ever experienced anything before with the loss of this true martyr everyone has flaws, may be even god does , so YSR might have had a few himself but the way he has touched people's life transcends everything else, we are witnessing what he truly meant to the people of AP if only we all could keep our petty differences aside and just reflect and grieve the loss of a true hero from our beloved land and give his due | ||

Inspite of all the negative opinion I had about him, because of his chequered history I was always following the progress of Jalayagnam. For a country of more than 1 billion food is key for survival. And this man took the onerous task of doubling the cultivable land of the state. Even if he has managed to complete 50 percent of what he planned I would salute the great man. I am not sure what is the status of those projects to date and not sure who will run with the Baton from here to the finish line | ||

personal ga i decided i will attain my goal keeping YSR fighting spirit monditanam as inspiration...and kudos to his friendship ... my sisters had land issue, walle kadhu mottam 600 people got benefited as he cleared the issue wallu last 2 daysnundi crying which is obvious... sv krishna reddy, nagarjuna and ramnaidu walla 20 years issue was been cleared i know hte location and issue pedawalla land kadhu ledha givt land kadhu some society and few culprits made documents and sucessfully sold the land pahanilu bagunayani chala mandhikonnaru ekakda konnollu evariki anayayan cheyaledhu....vevekanadha reddy bought 2 acares tdp wallu prathi sari a location loki welli darnalu chesaru as if he kabzaed the land...any way bygone is bygone.. how he was helpful share .... |
