any promising features on win 7 mobile? Also note that: I am researching HTC Hero - Sense UI and it is 10 times better in features and user experience..It is Android OS .. but it is brand new phone and it is not popular like IPhone which has vast Apple brand image and it has no such huge App base. But experts say it is very much advanced. It is not released in US yet. It is available in UK Tmobile. In ebay it is 600 USD+. I am very interested in this. You will love the HTC Hero.. watch these Videos.. it is amazing simply. 3GS data plan is $30 not $40. If you have employee discount it will come for less. For me I am paying $60/pm (including taxs) thanks to discount of 20%. part from cost it is really well. For me maps it is showing really good. Mine is 3G. | ||

redplanet: did u use the iphone default maps and live traffic any time? how is the service in terms directions and re-calculation of routes and prompts? Do we need to pay extra for this or it is included in 30 bucks. someone pls answer this question. Also on discounts: I work for a small desi company. they dont have corporate offers. while working for a client, i was told not to enroll to their phone discounts offered to employees. I read in a blog that : it is a serious violation of corporate policies since they verify the email id provided with corporate HR assigned for phone discounts. Esp with Iphones and data plans with BB, PDAs it is difficult to enroll ani. In another isolated incident AT&T fired many consultants working for due to voilation of Iphone purchase policy. Once you reach your destination(new place), You can search for resturants, check weather, check scores, read sakshi epaper and much more. Look if your company if it has any corporate account with ATT. You would get upto 17% discunt. Its every penny worth for the 30 bucks you spent monthly for iPhone. | ||

iPhone 3GS ki 40 bucks per month extra naa? (apart from regular voice plan) ...idhi too much. Naadhi first gen iphone, 20 bucks extra, but doesn't qualify for employee discount. iPhone 3G was 30 bucks extra, but qualifies for 22% employee discount. Don't know about 3GS though. | ||

I am currently using a regular phone with 200 text messages (for online banking SafePass). Due to surroundings and ad hoc internet usability requirement while travelling, I am thinking of upgrading to iPhone. But I am not able to justify Iphone 3G phone data plan cost on monthly basis. 1. I dont need phone in work since busy and do not get chance to browse internet. 2. i have internet at home and wifi.. i use laptop for browsing and any other work. 3. i drive most of the times..i might not use the browsing while on the go. 4. Only while flying and commuting in long distance trains.. i feel like i should have Iphone to browse and listen to videos. But it is once a month or two situation. Cost of the monthly plan is putting me off. Correct me if I am wrong: For 3G data plan: 40 bucks with no SMS included Extra costs for Text/SMS messages. I need this feature for online banking. And if we want to use GPS, do we need to pay 10 dollars for month? I read it somewhere. Does the internal Iphone maps software enough for driving directions and traffic alerts (live)? Also I have seen that we can do tethering with I Phone 3GS to connect to internet for laptops. It is another 20 dollars cost. Did any one tried this option? Dear Iphone users and experts: please answer my silly questions and guide me what made you folks to think it is a value addition to pay such extra cost for data plan. TIA.
