i dont disagree.....but let me ask you a question...how many of your friends or colleagues or the members of this db use windows and how many of them have had to deal with virus issues.....do the same with apple users | ||

Its not a perfect machine...has its own disadvatages.....for instance....you cant read telugu websites..gets too hot therefore cant place it on your lap and work..overall benefits outweigh the negatives | ||

Na first laptop is macboo. bought it 3years ago.. still going strong...no virus until now...no reformating the harddrive until now.....boothu sitelu visit cheyyali anna,idlebrain,greatandhra visit cheyyali anna mac is the best..i never gets infected..  infact 99% browsing is on mac...though i have a work computer which is windows i never use it for browsing | ||

redplanet: never used mac personally so far in my life except playing with it in mac store. earlier mac products used to have value addition and status symbol. now a days the product release life cycle is 3 to 6 months.. by the time we decide to buy a new release, a new version of OS or h/w upgrade happening. unless u dont worry much of the happenings and serious user for day to day life.. we can buy macs. otherwise i might think twice spending more than 1K to Apple + s/ws. since six months our two laptops got infected with virus more than 5 times and we had to format the hard disks. at one point we thought of buying mac for my wife. but gave up the idea since the cost of ownership in the long run is high. neeku student id ekkadidi year ki two konadaaniki? if we have student ids it is different story.. but it is not the best the students get AFAIK. student id tho u pay full price and u get ipod touch worth 200 back and any hp/canon/lexmark shop gives free printer with laptop purchase. u dont need to buy mac to get it. even 300 bucks laptops we get that. here u pay 200 to 500 less and we dont have to be students. basically YSR the future of Haritha Andhra Pradesh! | ||
