I think anyone who doesn't have a green card or citizenship has to have a transit visa. I don't know if they need it even if they are not going outside the airport. I have never changed airports in London. Avasaram raaledu. It was hassle enough navigating heathrow airport. I never took BA b'coz I like Lufthansa and Emirates better. BA was very good at losing luggage. Someone I know lost all their suitcases. Were never found. There was a story in NYTimes or somewhere and there was even a picture. 2000 or so suitcases sitting in some place in Heathrow waiting to be sorted. Last year the problem was exacerbated b'coz they had a new system and labor problems etc etc. I don't know if things imporved now. Heathrow is a maze of an airport. It's too big, too ugly. If they lose my luggage and the seats are the same as the ones in Lufthansa I don't know why I would ever get on BA, unless I get a dirt cheap deal. | ||

If you don't have a valid visa on your passport, you can't have a tranit visa. There are 2 airports in London. If you arrive at one and need to goto other, there is some local journey anukunta. | ||

How good or bad is BA economy seating? For eg. Lufthansa is horrible for long distance travel, small seats and no individual TV screens and all. I like them for their efficiency. OTOH Emirates is awesome - great food, great seating and all that. Is BA more like Lufthansa, more like emirates or somewhere in between? On a scale of 1 to 10 how bad (1) or good (10) is BA? If you travelled on BA, please post your experience. |
