Telangana Bhavan has been well known not only for the histrionics of Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao; but also for its hospitality. Whenever the TRS meetings are held at Telangana Bhavan, the party workers and leaders used to feast on specialised Telangana dishes including the famed Hyderabad dumka-biryani, chicken roast, paya, dalcha etc.. And for media persons, too, it used to be a real feast. All this is going to be a thing of the past now. The collapse of the Telangana movement and the debacle of the TRS in the elections resulted in cut down in all these feasts. And with KCR himself was a rare visitor to the party office, there were no meetings all these days. KCR on Sunday declared that he would be a regular visitor to Telangana Bhavan and there would be regular meetings of party workers. However, he made it clear that there would be no more mutton and chicken at the Telangana bhavan. âYou have to sacrifice many things for the Telangana movement, including food. You will only get pachchi pulusu and jonna rotte at the Telangana Bhavan,â he declared. |
