You did not get me correctly. None of them asking a special treatment to bypass security. He was provided with a US Visa and baggage, ticket and everything is screened well in advance and it is just a port of entry thing. He just arrived after all the verification was done. So they can verify the credentials based on first information provided at the port of entry window. What more they can verify for such individual unlike us who come here on work visa or some other business and we wanted to stay for extended period? His visit was three calendar days.. not for months. Thats where we must respect the person identity. Hope you understand the difference? What if someday an h1b workers screws up something and every indian origin indivual must spend half day in security screening when do not have any active threat being carried with you? I see it is ridiculous to go such extent on professionals and individuals achieved some status in their respective fields. I just want to tell my experience at Delhi airport with Continental staff. I never take continental delhi again in my flights. I am sure they are good compared to other US jerks. I travelled twice via Continental direct flights. Mumbai experience is better and Delhi Airport Continental staff are most arrogant and most pathetic I ever seen in my life. I am sure these idiots behaved with Kalam like that. The irony is In June I came to US via Delhi Continental airlines. My Delhi inbound flight from Bangalore was delayed due to weather. We arrived 1 hr before departure. We were late because of airline. He put fault at our side and took no responsibility to incoming delay saying they just have only e-ticket agreement and do not cover for delays and I need to book another ticket since arrival of passenger to airport after departure voids the whole ticket. I pulled the ticket and told him that I bought complete ticket in CO.com and it is their responsibility to handle such issues. I said I am here in airport 70 minutes before departure and I reported to airport five hours before in my origin of travel in BLR. He said I need to travel next day. He aruged saying I bought ticket at very cheap price and they can not put in other carrier and I must stay in airport on my own costs until next day flight or else book ticket in other airline to travel out of the country. He is Bengali. He is so stubborn and humiliating us (three of such cases.. all of them are IT pros from Bangalore). I requested to talk to supervisor. He is said I am tho boss and I deal everything. His name is Bhattachrya. Since he is talking so rubbish. I told him to deal with other customers while I talk to CO Customer service. I also told him that I used Amex Gold with Travel delay protection. I just told him that I am going to deal with Amex and CO directly and they will pay for hotel and flight back to US they will screw your job. He said you can do whatever and I was waiting in the lobby as others talking to them. After 30 minutes without talking a single word.. he called us out and gave a boarding pass to fly out of Air France along with other two of us waiting in the line. It was 12:10. The flight departure was 12:30.. we are last passengers to check-in. It was night mare for us to run from the CO office in the down stairs to all through the gate with three bags and airport is full of passengers. Once we talked to Air France it is very smooth and finished everything in less than 5 minutes. We are escorted by Air France guys to skip security lines and walked us into flight. He could have done that same thing to CO flight.. but he kept us waiting in airport for 2:30 hours from 9:45 PM. I never seen such rubbish and arrogant airline staff in my whole life.
