Basky_indya:mama, staying on bench is also little bit issue, but if can manage by shelling for paycheks ur ok.
i'll talk to the client tommorw and see if we could renegotiate the payrate else i'll suggest them to eliminate the middle later. |

thanks everyone for your valuable suggestions my I140 cleared with pd jan 2008. oka saari itlane ft offer with less pay teeskunna thinking that in longterm gc vasstundi and stabliityy untundi. unfortunately that didnt happen.got layed off at time when my gc was halfway thru.come to find out,six months later ie sometime around mid 2007 uscis made everything current and i lost that oppurtunity and also the valuable time. i guess, i will just stick to my employer . let me say what the client is going to come up with in the next few weeks. thanks once again |

at this point of time taking FT offer is very risky and jeopardize ur immigration status if the company takes any adverse actions in future. Also it is very risky for H1B transfer. On top of that 6yrs end. Triple trouble for him. If your friend is pushed to FT offer due to cost issues, my advise is: talk to manager and explain h1b situation. Ask him to renegotiate rate with a new contract directly with your current h1b employer as vendor to remove layers and accept lower rate. If your friend is not critical resource it is difficult to request someone to push for direct vendor. one of my friend tried this option to work with employer directly with lower rate equal to FT pay rates. Whatever it is... I advise you to talk to your current Employer also, let him explain your situation, if possible tell him you can compensate him (not only by giving money, just helping in placing other consultant or traning or get new H1's..whatever makes him happy..) NEVER NEVER burn your bridges with your current employer. Now, ask your current employer to do H1 extension, once it approves FOR 3 years, then you can take full time with your client. Or you can get one year extn with your client also (some times you can port your approved i-140 also..) if your current employer agrees!! |

Please advice just to came to know that my client is going to end the contract and going to offer perm position withing next 2 weeks My problem is i just submitted my h1 extension papers ( my 6 yrs will expire in sep ending and I140 already approved) to my company, not sure if they sent the papers to uscis If i am not wrong, having 6 yrs near completion, i cannot transfer to another company and get 3 yrs extension unless the new h1,labour and 1140 process is complete which unlikely in next 2 months. The alternative would be to get the extension done from current company, hoping the new extension is for atleast 1 yr and then start the transfer process finally, there's a 3 month lag of payments ie my april salary, i just received.it's another story ...wont get into detail know. what if decide to transfer, how do i resolve this issue with minimum loss of pending payments |
