this is a very sensual scene.. It is very very common and basic way of showing teen heroine in some romantic mode. If she is not shown up with villain, it will not fit the screen play to portray his lust towards her. If this scene is at a different situation it would have been more romantic.
I think those who concentrated on kajal may notice it.. But for her structure the blowses/tops selected by costume designer provide such opportunity to any naive observer if she makes any such moves. no offense, but do they have to show the tiger pouncing upon the cow or the cheetah hunting the gazelle. It is shown that way so that you(viewer) develop core hatred for the villain character and rejoice at his demise. That scene reeked of perversion.....I hate directors like these...whose emphasis is on on an woman's breasts and flesh...for heaven's sake....a woman is not just a collection of flesh....only beasts are sized up by flesh..... Even the antagonist's view was that....the director could have certainly used an allegorical representation to portray his lust..... | ||

as some one said vulgarity is relative...anduke naa view ani cheppanu.....I dont like vulgar portrayals of women..... RCT...good dancer, was good in parts in the fighting episode.....his swordsmanship was good.... I have my own doubts of his capability to carry a movie on his shoulders....He certainly lacks originality.....not a charmer by any stretch of imagination..but I guess thats not a prerequisite.... His emotive capabilities...err....very very naive still...he needs a lot more movies under his belt to be better at that...per me..... If he sticks to good scripts and good directors, he can stay for the longer run...Not the numero UNO material certainly....but owing to lack of such alternatives, he will still have his chances..... On the whole, RCT is an OK debutant.....per me....n e ways if one can watch AA on the screeen, I guess any one else can fancy his chances to be a hero..... | ||

Saw magadheera....on saturday....as the drab afternoon was wearing on me.....came down to E.windsor.....and embarked on my journey to reach the theatre......as the miles wore down, I saw faces of similar tone.....figuratively and literally..the hubbub and the frantic movements of people of similar ilk gave rise to a sudden feeling of belonging to that chaos...those remnants of that land where my soul lies...deeply entrenched....in chaos lies the unison of our souls I thought...quoting Thoreau to myself...... Other things apart....the movie itself: 1.) The movie was in parts bearable. That is a big thing with in itself for most Indian movies made these days. The moments of innuendo were relatively sparser. 2.) The protagonist was OK. Not bad. His performance reminded me of a tangible effort to look and emote like his father and uncle. 3.) He did a fair job w.r.t dance. I would rate him as one of the better dancers of the current generation. 4.)The script was very naive. It was very apparent that the director wanted to remake 300 and benhur in his own prescribed quantum........the first half was a naive attempt to fend the people off that trail....... 5.) Great, Magnificent etc are superlatives that are not apt to describe this director. I don't think any aspect of his film making can be termed ORIGINAL. Most of his thought process is copied. 6.) One good thing abt this film maker is that he seems to have a natural inclination to stick to the script without bending his style to fit to the star mania. That is refreshing. 7.) The colors in the film were good. 8.) The so called fight scenes were direct ripoff's from popular english movies barring the BGM, which was good on most of the occassions. 9.) As usual, there were overdoses of vulgarity. The director certainly seems to like indulging in skin show by all his woman characters. The sad part is that there was absolutely no need to resort to such cheap tactics. 10.) On a whole, the movie was OK. Never got bored. Even though it was not worth my money to travel to watch this movie, I had a good time listening to some telugu voices in such rush after a long time. |
