My review...sorry dharkar for invading...didn't wanto to start another thread STory...same old same old ...what most heir apparent s have been doing since last 2 decades a 400 yr old failed love story which comes to a conclusion in this present generation. charan- this is my first movie of the hero...had very little expectations about his acting skills but he has good screen presence and dancing skills are good ...he emoted well with his eyes in action sequences or pathos scenes...not much comedy in this movie so didn't have any scope for comic timing...his voice is very good for a person of his age...command over the language is good but he needs some modulation or twist when he speaks a lengthy dialogue...cons are his facial structure...looks like he has some problem with his jaw structure which made him look awkward in some scenes... kajal- was the surprise package of this movie...it sounds ard to believe that this is the same girl who acted like a heroin addicted hooker in CHANDAMAMA looked very regal in the flashback period and good in the love story srihari- not abig role as i expected but nevertheless good both in flashback and current story....had the biggest cheer for the jeep-helicopter scene in the climax villian - was very good..liked his role and fit perfectly sunil- comedy nothing to remember...his routine stuff the rest of the actors had no prominence Music-listened to the music before once and deleted after watching the movie 2 songs sounded nice...panchadara bomma and dheera dheera biggest let down is bangaru kodi petta...the dance was good but RCT is no chiru and it just didn't sound like the original nor did it have the impact that chirus song had 17 years ago...even chiru couldnt save the song with his appearance ..didnt know what the hype was about kim sharmas item -totally unnecessary and nothing to talk about one song in foreign locales-- hero and heroine looked good in the costumes and thats what u remember from the song last song at the end of titles- unit had fun and again not much to remember BGM was pretty good direction- this is my first rajamouli movie ..didnt understand what the fuss was about this director ...dont compare him with varma maniratnam or even shankar for that matter screenplay- screenplay was OK with no unnecessary characters and forced comedy...well to be frank comedy is missing no highs or lows...just passed by Cinematography -very good in certain scenes like chariot race and charan riding the horse graphics- average...they were good in some scenes and some they looked amateurish...most of the graphics copied from hollywood...the first scene reminded me of the two squirrels falling down in ICE AGE 3 can be watched once for the money spent on certain scenes good news for chiru fans--RCT is here to stay for a long time finally Rating-3/5 | ||

Well first of all thanks to OT, Tpg and others..(OT Bro I had a respect for you when I saw your review on Stalin and Annavaram..complete duds..same opinion here.guys I started my DBing life at that time..so I used to respect his reviews so much..THings changed when I saw the archived review of Vijayendra Verma...Guys the impression went to trash...Now I have a opinion on OT...) COming to the movie... Negative points..  Negative points discuss chesthanu first...to all fans, trust me..I wud have trashed some of the footage out of the can if I was a director (nene cheyagalithe RM ki entha pani)...I was pissed off with the way things are handled... 1) Song after Flashback: Not needed. Biggest hurdle for screenplay. 2) Climax: The way it is handled is not up to the expectations..its not at all up to the mark...TRUST ME ..U WILL BE DISSAPOINTED..(Trimming lo chaala climax logicless ayindhi anukuntaa..) 3) Comedy : Well RajaMouli never had a healthy comedy apetite..He would have done his best.(but there was cut of 1 hr..u never know,ALi was there, Brahmi was there.well Ali episode was trimmed completely..)..comedy is absoulutely BIG NO...what ever u see is KULLU joke lu.. 4) Songs: except 2 songs ani chaala avg. music 5) Costumes: No range of costumes.richness kanapaledhu.. Positive aspects..  GO WATCH IT.. NEVER BEFORE IN TELUGU CINEMA...ante aathiseyokthi kaadhu...YES..I'M ADMITTING THE MOVIE IS ON PAR STANDARDS WITH HOLLYWOOD CINEMA(bollywood picha lite,jodhaa akbar kooda lite).. 30 MINS. OF ASTOUNDING SAGA...Guys, sincerely Rajamouli knows how to present rich TELUGU CINEMA .. Screenplay : Except for the last 20 mins. the screenplay was not compromised. Last lo compromise ayyaru ani nenu anukonu..infact 1hr. movie ni cut chesaru due to length,so may be aa 1 hr. lo there might be some good logics binding the climax properly. Saloni entry vuntundhi along with Srihari..just for 30 secs..??? that shows the movie is drastically reduced during the climax..(infact nenu past lo Sher khan ani Srihari ki telusthundhani anukuntunaa trim chesina part lo). APart from that screenplay was racy,no boring elements. Story: SSR thought was to make a movie like 300..so aa 300 cinema ni base chesukoni raasina story. OK story. Cinematography: Special mention..TFI is lucky to get this gem of a guy 'Senthil'..he is no doubt the best contemporary cinematographer in India. ee movie ki Senthils work is like heart of the movie. The way he has shown the flashback is extravagant, brilliant. Direction: SSR is the man. He knows how to package a rich telugu cinema..CInema choosthe artham avuthundhi, entha kastapadado SSR..seems he has worked his ass off Puri, VVV takkuva time lo movie teesetharu hit istharu agreed, but SSR is absolute genius, he has the basics right..technical aspects ni baaga explore chesthadu..movie teesthe u can see what he is capable off.. Acting: RCT works really hard. His character needs Commitment, Dedication, Hardwork,Guts..and he has done everything right...100% effort pettadu...long way to go.. Kajal Agarwal is sweet. She aptly suits the shoes of Princess.good choice from SSR.All others are OK. Art work: Great. u feel that ur 400 yrs back in the past. FINALLY, THIS CINEMA WILL SET A STANDARD for TECHNICAL BRILLIANCE IN INDIAN CINEMA. I hope this movie shud also be dubbed in hindi with minor modifications. RODOMETER RATING : 2/10 BOMMARILU was given 4 by Jeevi for its screenplay and acting. Nuvvu naaku nachav, Manmadhudu was given 4 by Jeevi for COmedy and dialogues ee movie ki 4 kallu mossukoni ivochu just for the technical brillinace. ( if u watch 300 movie, technical brilliance thapaa screenplay vundadhu cinemalo..infact many hollywood movies are like that..) AS IS SAID...NEW RECORDS WILL BE SET BY THIS MOVIE. EVERY BIG DIRECTOR NOW WILL TRY TO MAKE A MOVIE LIKE THIS. BUT IT WILL NEED SSR AND SENTHIL AGAIN TO BEAT THERE OWN STANDARDS. |
