I worked here. Springfield lo desi community ledu. Very few desis stay in an apartment near the springfield exit on westbound 78. If you prefer to stay in row houses or small apartment communities with no desi feeling.. it is ideal place. Work drive time save avvochu since it is right on freeway connections. Local driving and commute is tough task during weekends/evenings. In winter it will be gridlock due to frequent traffic jams in any direction out of springfield. Situation might have improved due to I78 expansion, but peak hours still a bottleneck for getting into and out of I78/24 at spring field. Food and eating out C/O RT22 strech and any store u want to visit RT-22 strech. Anytime you want to reach Edison area need to depend on Rt-22/287/78/GSP and local roads combo and it is a nightmare to switch between these freeways. So mentally prepare for the weekend driving.
