linux side idea ledu but solaris ayuthe easy ne. since locale pkgs installed, check the /etc/TIMEZONE (/etc/default/init) file(this is for solaris) on working system and copy the same one where you have problem and reboot the server and verify the output using "locale" command. If you can't do that, you can try to export the parameters which are different from working one at command level using export/setenv based on your shell (Linux check the syntax) if it is solaris I can help but linux bebbbbe nenu... here are the commands, where you can do at user level to test it. ksh === export LC_COLLATE=en_US.ISO8859-1 export LC_CTYPE=en_US.ISO8859-1 export LC_MESSAGES=C export LC_MONETARY=en_US.ISO8859-1 export LC_NUMERIC=en_US.ISO8859-1 export LC_TIME=en_US.ISO8859-1 csh === setenv LC_COLLATE en_US.ISO8859-1 setenv LC_CTYPE en_US.ISO8859-1 setenv LC_MESSAGES C setenv LC_MONETARY en_US.ISO8859-1 setenv LC_NUMERIC en_US.ISO8859-1 setenv LC_TIME en_US.ISO8859-1 | ||

locale okkosari tappu istundi, reason being your own profile will mislead.so neeku console access vunte a server di try login as yourself or root and run locale, then you will know as MAV said what locale you are using. mama i remember indra asking similar question in the past..at that time i asked him to check his locale using locale -a..just see what u have in ur system..changing it to UTF.8 helped in the past.i believe its something related to ur locales only.. | ||
