if you copy it to picasa, it will give you all the details about the pic. Every Jpeg has some amount of space defined for storing the pic details like shutter speed, IS mode etc. correct aa annai? | ||

Yes.. nenu already 1 year varaku calendar reminder pettukunna for Full Moon Dates and MOON rise timings in my ZIP Code. But its a good suggestion, next time oka 2-3 days before nunde I will try to shoot the Moon so that I can know ahead of time about the positioning. Thank You! If you want take pictures of moon try few days before full moon so that you don't have a very dark sky. You can check here to see what time moon rises in ur area. http://www.stardate.org/nightsky/moon/ When taking pictures of night time sky, I noticed that September is the best month for a clear starry sky. I have also noticed that most urban and suburban areas have too much light even after sun goes down b'coz of all the lamps and such. Head to rural areas if ur goal is dark, starry skies. | ||

Ayyo... ela theeyaali ani adagadam ledhu brother... I took good pictures of FULL MOON in India when I had an IS lens. But US lo ippati varaku nenu theeyadaaniki kudara ledhu antunna... last 2 months try chesa... on Jun 7th there were lot of clouds and I could not see the MOON at all. Raathri 10-11 varaku wait chesi break theesukunna. On July 7th again I tried but I could not find a right spot near my home and top of it I spent around 30-35 min to find a right spot. Malli kudaraledhu. Naa tho baatu inka evaranna interest undi theesthaaremo ani ee thread vesaanu. You know oko saari company unte you will get some additional push to do things. 50-250 or 75-300 Zoom is good enough anukuntunna. But you definitely need an IS lens. Usual ga US lo (India kanna) MOON close ga kanapadutundi on FULL MOON days... nenu pattern observe cheyyaledu ye months lo manaki close ga kanapadutundi anedi. Nenu last 2 months nundi trying to take FULL MOON pictures... endhuko for some reason work out avvadam ledhu. I tried only on FULL MOON Days. I don't have IS lens adi kooda oka reason anukuntunna.
