PS3 is japanese so it don't understand english subtitles

Simba: Here is the problem..

1. .mkv file has no subtitles. so, downloaded .srt file and muxed using some software. muxed .mkv to .mpeg using mkv2vob. PC lo file played fine on VLC player with subtitles. But when streamed via PS3 onto my tv, no subtitles..

Any avidea how to fix this?
