Direct photo copy ki cheyyaru brother... you have to write 'This is a true copy of the original' ani sign chesthe 100% objection undadhu. Other alternatives are Muncipal Office or Local Library (ikkada maathram timings kanukkovaali first because the person who does Notary may not be available all the time). Idle_yzag:OCI will be given only who (either mom or dad) holds US citizen ani chadivinattu gurthu
You are right... I was not sure about this ammendment now. Couple of years back my friends who are not citizens have applied for OCI. Foreign-born children of PIOs are eligible to become OCI provided one of the parents is eligible to become OCI. That means if both parents are Indian Citizens and the minor child is a foreign citizen, the child is not eligible to apply for OCI. For example, both parents are on H1/H4 visa or on Greencard in the US, but the minor child is a US citizen because they were born in USA. In such a scenario, the child is not eligible to apply for OCI. They can apply for the PIO card instead. You must be the change you wish to see in the world

King:My question is whether I should just submit copy of the passport notarised(which i am not sure if my back will do it) or just send the original passports of mine, wife's and kids. My sister will be submitting them in person in Houston Consulate.
1. By post a.2 Aplications with photo attched to it b.kid All Passport pages notarized c.urs and wifes main pages notarized d. Kid orignal DOB certificate (DOB will be itself is notarized what u get it, submit the same) 2. By Hand aithe, no need of notarize if you have orginal dicuments with you JP/YSR/Rahul/Chiru |

if you go personally...you just need copies (or notarized are enough). We got PIO and used copies...but we submitted the application personally at NY consulate. HTH. ... |

maa buddodiki PIO card apply cheyali. When i was going through the documents required, it says to submit "A notarised copy each of his/her birth certificate , his/her parent's latest Indian passports (either expired or not yet expired ) and his/her current US/Foreign passport and a copy of the parent's valid passport." along with the application and photographs. My question is whether I should just submit copy of the passport notarised(which i am not sure if my back will do it) or just send the original passports of mine, wife's and kids. My sister will be submitting them in person in Houston Consulate. Can any one please post the requirements or share their experience CHIRU 2014 KAPAUL 2019 KCR 2024
