Thats the point exactly. I am appalled at the way these things are equated with religion and caste by many Brahmin people outside and in DB too. Culture and its values lo religion and caste are only a part. RELIGION and BRAHMANISM is NOT THE INDIAN CULTURE.
Sahitya Vedika ingaural session will be done by Swami Ganapathi Sacchidananda swamiji tomorrow in DFW. Becoz a group of Brahmin devotees force it.
What kind of fun is that ? He is a religious man. What has he got to do with a literary forum ?

Values are what you learn as a process of growing up and from ur own experiences. India lo cow ni tinakoodadu, but mana pakka desam lo dngi tinachu. so who is correct and who is not? depends on each individual perspective.
For instance, EVV (based on his personal experiences and upbringing) makes fun of a brahmin community and widows in his movies. is it correct ? yes from EVV's perspective and no from another's. From my stand point, if a woman loses her husband, we should express sympathy and encourage her to move on. Personally, I will never make her an object of ridicule. if EVV learnt something different, its HIS culture.
alage, is it proper for EVV to make fun a community ? yes - from his perspective. as i learnt, he had some negative experiences from that community so he chooses to vent his anger and frustration in that way. my question is if he is really that upset with that caste, he should have never ever joined Jandhyala as an asst. director. avasaraniki vadesukuni, pani ayyeka visham kakkadam mari elanti values brother?
I mentioned this a few times yday and am repeating myself again - KV never said that music and arts are one community's domain. if u understood it that way then its absolutely fine with me...

if u argue saying, 100 years back it was not like that, then u shud talk to the people who existed at that time and also those who followed them without saying a word. i feel both are at fault. |

Tried him and Vara Vara Rao. Gaddar doesn't have a passport and Govt refused to issue one. Varavara Rao and Gaddar will never be given Visas also.
And the most important fact is that "THEY WILL NEVER CATER TO THE ELITIST CLASS OF TANA/ATA/SILICONANDHRA celebrations"
Becoz they know that we NRIs look at them more as "entertainers' rather than committed inidividuals who have spent their life in defending what they believed in |
