I was hoping she would take some perspective when she ran off into the woods scaring the shit out of Frank by threatening him not to touch her or else, she would end up screaming. Bad jobs and career is something you can change, bad life especially with such a considerate and understanding hubby and two nice kids is just a blame!!!! | ||

Life doesn't always pan out like we want. And not everyone can accept it and take things as they come. Being stuck in a bad job is like being in a bad marriage. I can't image what it is to be stuck in a bad marriage. I thought they portrayed Kate's agony wonderfully. It's not the life any of us imagine living, so it's hard for us to empathize with her. reality? drug dealer's try to buy-off law within their means. they try all possible ways not to go to prison. Their friends don't hang-out with them at bars and pubs the night before. Girls prefer dumping the dealer guy the moment he's been convicted. More importantly, after the conviction, drug dealer's don't walk around the city like normal guys, they are in custody. What kind of a convict, involved in such a serious crime like drug trafficking at any level, have 24 hours being sentenced off to prison for a very long time? | ||

Just cause such life appeals to u doesnt mean she had to embrace the same thing....She is not content with that but somehow she finds herself trapped...she was the one responsible for it....she wanted to chase the life that she n leo planned b4 marriage n its ....and there was no happyness in their life...leo is cheating on her....she is not meant for that lifestyle....and she couldnt continue compromising herself so she wanted to live again and just not survive....u can put a wild bird in a cage and take responsibility for it wid utmost care for 100 years....but it will not be happy....it would be happy to fly in a wild place even for 2 days with freedom no matter she falls prey for a predator after 2 days...dats living...dats the birds nature...kate is like dat wild bird....and she couldnt bear that caged life anymore so she wanted to fly but she aint a bird either...she is a social animal trapped in a maze of responsibilities...so she dies a miserable death.... | ||

Edward Norton's court-room dialogues, especially in the supreme court, were a revelation. He admits he personally dislikes Larry Flynt's idea of selling those magazines on stands in grocery stores across the street. But it is the choice of taste, against the law of the land, a very fine line misread always. He gives a very basic definition of Freedom and explains clearly how Larry and all others like him were misusing it, while the impostors had actually totally forgotten about it. If, by law, Freedom is continuous and free flow of expression and thought of mind (irrespective of influences), there should be no discrimination. In that sense, freedom itself is a bad thing. Larry Flynt need not be appreciated for his entrepreneurship but if he is to be punished, everybody else also need to be punished. That's how Larry was freed!!!!
I can empathize with the neighbors, Shep and his wife, they have compromised with life and couldn't bear someone escaping from it, unlike themselves. The PhD guy is alright, I have personally known people with excessive knowledge turning out as morons when reality bites someday. April Wheeler needed perspective. Her husband was considerate and understanding, two lovely kids, life was going smooth and trouble-free. They purchased a home, they enjoyed weekly dinners with guests or outings with neighbors. Everything was actually, may be not as anticipated, yet perfect and still she saw something going out of her way!!!! I guess, that is exactly what insanity is defined as. Never understood since when was insanity art? At best, such an annoying one doesn't even need discussion. | ||

Rock on - 4/5. Good movie. Well made. I didn't like the way the ending was depicted. Farhan Akhtar cinemalu annitlo last lo blissful ending on the beach choopinchali kaabolu. avakai biryani - 3/5 - sodhi cinema. Music and photography were awesome. Taken - 4/5 - not boring despite the holes Australia - 3/5 - sodhi cinema # 2. Nicole Kidman can't act. Hugh Jackman looked good. He didn't have much role even tho he was the lead actor. The kid needs to shutup. | ||

public enemies - johnny depp was good but the movie was v predictable.. executive decision - watched the first half..it was v good.....gotta see if d second half stands up to d first or not.. rendition - amazing movie..loved it.....d story of an egyptian immigrant to the states who is arrested by d fbi for a bombing in egypt.. | ||

25th Hour : What was the intent of the movie? Was it about 24 hours in the life of a drug-dealer Monty, before he goes off to prison for being convicted? Was it the chemistry of this drug-dealer with a puerto-rican girl? Was it supposed to be a suspense thriller, kinda who dunn it, and got the protagonist convicted for a crime he was sure he would never be caught for? Was it about his lame childhood friends, the nerdy high-shcool language teacher Jake or the white collared wall-street hypocrite Frank? Bored to hell watching the movie. The people vs Larry Flynt : Just one word, Awesome!!!! "At last, we won baby!!!! Strip for me baby!!!!" One man, his idealogies, his motives, his business and his attitude in questioning the very definition of Freedom, the difference of tastes that oppose the laws of the land. It's a story, it's about life, atleast someone who believes in something and himself. Larry Flynt must be hated for corrupting the younger minds with his Hustler publications, so do all others like the Playboy and the Penthouse publications. Punishments should not be discriminated. Defiance : Yet another marvellous movie!!! Those who have missed it in the theaters must watch on DVD. A family of four brothers are looked up to by estranged jews in 1941. A community is formed, hiding deep in the woods not to be spotted by the germans, with the eldest brother as the self-proclaimed leader while the wildest second one takes to arms and joins the Russians to hunt and fight the germans head-on. Forming a community has it's challenges, imposing laws for mutual conducive and cooperative survival, so also the tremendous responsibility of protecting everyone. Must watch for those who appreciate real good drama. Revolutionary Road : Totally cribbing, whining and ••••••••!!! What is April Wheeler's problem?? She ••••••• her husband for she couldn't be a good actor. She ••••••• for not being able to do the best with her life. She ••••••• for her husband not being able to do best with his life. She decides to escape to Paris and tunes her hubby aptly. Everything apart, she keeps ••••••••, time and again, for every silly thing, forgetting the very secret how every single other person is living in the "hopeless emptiness", just do what best you can at whatever comes across. Totally lost 2 precious hours of my life watching this hopeless movie, there is not a pinch of sensibility or sanity in April's character. She never deserved to live either and shouldn't be sympathized even. If the intent of the character was only to annoy, Kate Winslet sure did a great job but, a very poor choice to take up such a role. God forbid, if I come across such a character in real-life, perhaps I'd kill them myself. Fired Up : "Dude, why didn't you tell me you are not gay?" "yes, am not. I could suck a door knob and still be straight!!!!" "Then why did you borrow my beads?" "I thought it was your bracelet." "Who would put a bracelet in the mouth?" "I don't know." Typical teenage comedy - girls, girls and lots of more and more girls thrown in for two sex-driven studs. Absolutely nothing to watch-out for, no obscenity even unlike the later parts of American Pie. Bachelors can screen the DVD for a typical booze-party. The Pink Panther 2 : Hillarious to the core, Steve Martin is excellent yet again as Insp Jack Closeau. Andy Garcia and Alfred Molina are kinda wasted, Aishwarya had considerable screen space along with Emily Mortimer. Some conversations were pretty funny. Worth watching on DVD. |
