I just had this interest of listening to and collecting these side-stories in my childhood regarding the two Ithihaasas and the Bhagavatha-purana. That movie is actually "seetha rama kalyanam" .But in the movie, that self-burnt lady was Vedavathi who was lakshmi or seetha. The story that you mentioned in the third para is quite new and not shown in the movie. | ||

The stories are written that way. Lord Vishnu has two wives, Sridevi(lakshmi devi) and Bhudevi. First yugam lo Sridevi takes birth as Chenchu Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu as Narasimha swamy and marries her. Second yugam lo both are born as Sita and Vedavati. Rama declares eka-patni-vratha and so doesn't marry Vedavati, she demands apologies. Dwapara Yugam lo she takes the form of Satyabhama and kills her own son Narakasura, born from Mother Earth herself, while Sridevi is Rukmini. Satyabhama out of jealousy demands one avataram for her own. Padmavati and Srinivasudu are born in kali-yugam. Vakula-matha performs their wedding, Govinda raja swamy, son of Vakula-matha borrows huge money from Kubera for the wedding procession. Until the loan is repaid-off, Srinivasudu is not supposed to lead 'gruhasthaasrama'. So he grants boons to troubled individuals like us, in favor for money to pay-off to Kubera. The day the loan will finish off, Kalki will be born. Meanwhile, Sridevi is angry on Lord Vishnu that he hasn't repeated her time and again for all his avataras until now and so - 'aligi' she takes the form of 'Alivelu Manga'. | ||

adi twisted mythology kaabatte, comical. Watch the movie Bhookailas - NTR depicted Ravana's prowess amazingly. Oka lady untundi (not able to remember her name right now from the top of my head), Ravana aameni choosi mohisthaadu and she burns herself up. He collects her ashes in a box and keeps it with him all the time. Mandodari feels jealous and dictates that the box be buried elsewhere in any other kingdom. The rakshasa-gana bury it in Janakapuri (the kingdom of Janaka), today's day Nepal. Actually, the lady that was abducted was not even Sita. Begging kosam Ravan vasthey, ippudey teeskuvasthaa ani hut lopaliki vellagaane, Fire God informs her of the impending danger and requests her to hide in his abode, and instead sends His own daughter to be abducted by Ravana. All the while, Asoka-vana lo unnadi Fire God's daughter. Finally, when Rama demands she must walk through Fire, Sita returns. | ||

Ravana was born to his father Brahmin sage known as Vishrava and his wife, the daitya princess Kaikesi. He was born in the Devagana gotra, as his grandfather, sage Pulastya, was the one of the six human sons of Brahma. Kaikesi's father, Sumali (or Sumalaya), king of the Daityas, wished her to marry the most powerful being in the mortal world, so as to produce an exceptional heir. He rejected the kings of the world, as they were less powerful than him. Kaikesi searched among the sages, and finally chose Vishrava, the father of Kubera. Ravana was thus partly Daitya and partly Brahmin. His brothers were Vibhishana and Kumbhakarna. Through his mother, he was related to the daityas Maricha and Subahu. Kaikesi also produced a daughter, Meenakshi ("girl with fish like eyes"), although later she was dubbed the infamous Shoorpanakha "winnow-like nails". His father Vishrava noted that while Ravana was aggressive and arrogant, he was also an exemplary scholar. Under Vishrava's tutelage, Ravana mastered the Vedas and the holy books and also the arts and ways of Kshatriyas (warriors). Ravana was also an excellent veena player and the sign of his flag had a picture of veena on it.[citation needed] Sumali, his grandfather, worked hard in secret to ensure that he retained the ethics of the Daityas. The Ramayana tells the Ravana had close connections with region of the Yadus, which included Gujarat, parts of Maharashtra and Rajasthan up to Mathura south of Delhi. Ravana is believed to be the related to Lavanasura also regarded as a Rakshasa, of Madhupura (Mathura) in the region of the Surasenas, who was conquered & killed by Shatrughana, youngest brother of Rama. After worshipping a Shiva Linga on the banks of the Narmada, in the more central Yadu region, Ravana was captured and held under the control of King Kartavirya Arjuna, one of the greatest Yadu kings. It is very clear from the references in the Ramayana, That Ravana was no commoner among the Humans or Asuras, a great chanter of the Sama Veda. It is mentioned in one of the chapters of the Srimada Bhagvata, that Sita was actually his daughter. During one of the Ceremonial Yagya By Lord Shiva, Ravana was given the Boon Water,which he was told to give to Mandodari. While on way back to his kingdom, both the husband & wife slept in a lonely forest. During the night, Ravana felt thirsty, so he drank that water & was impregnated. They were the modern South America, Southern Europe; Himalaya including the Hindukush mountain range and continents up to Madagascar (Dr. Suriya Gunasekara -Rivira 24.04.2007).Rawanaâs deadly flaw was his arrogance. When Brahma conferred on him a boon and Rawana asked that the Devas should not be able to inflict harm on him. He did not think it worthwhile to ask for protection from men or animals as he was so physically powerful. Rawana was a globally reputed and valued great intellectual. He was the author of many books. However, parts of few books are found. They are the Samaveda, Nadi Prakasha, Kumara Tantra, Uddisha Tantra, Prakrurtha Kamadhenu, and Sivathandawa Sthothra and the Ayurvedic book âArka Prakashaâ. His superior acquaintance in Sanskrit can be evaluated from Sivathandawa Sthothra and further he was a proficient Ayurvedic Physician. The caste system first started based on the profession. Now the you acquire your caste just because you are born in that caste. Poorvam brahman ante "brahman" profession, kshatriya ante kshtriyude etc. Ippudu alaa kaadu. My question is, Vaalmiki boyavadu ga puttina, he must be considered a "brahmin" since at that time? Vyasudu brahmin kakapoyina (is he?), he must be considered a brahmin. The point is manam ippudu old caste system continue chestunnam, but logically its flawed past tho compare cheste? |
