Wed Night diguthaamu, Den airport lo stay. Thu: Drive up north to Rockies whole day. By night, stop at Grand Lake. Fri: Drive to Garden of Gods (167miles, 3hrs). From here to Pikes peak, 27miles 1hr. From here to Royal Gorge 117miles, 3hrs. From here to Sand Dunes, 85miles , 3hrs. So, Friday rozu Garden of Gods and Pikes peak. US aiforce GofG mundhe untadi kaabatti adi cover chestam. Rockies last lo elltam better. Colorado springs, Pikes peak, Garden of the gods, Air force academy, Royal Gorge and sorroundings, Great sand dunes national park (this one is far south) and then Drive all the way up to Rockies (long drive) then back to denver airport....idhi naa itenary which i think is most efficient anukuntunna to cover these places. | ||

Reached COS on Thursday morning. It was raining heavily when we started, so decided to go south to Royal Gorge Bridge first. Day 1 Royal Gorge ----------- Endhuku kattaaro theleedhu kaani, antha height lo kattadam keka. Bridge meedha nadusthuntey, yedhaina bandi velthey, full ga ooguthadhi bridge. Entrance fee $24. This includes Aerial Tram, Incline/decline train to the bottom of the mountain. Memu vellinappud, it was sunny, but in a span of few minutes, it changed to cloudy and rain. Chuttupakkala raathi kondalu kabatti antha scenic anipinchaledhu. Next stop on the return was: Garden of the Gods ------------------- This park is a combination of red and white rocks. Park lopala nadusthuntey anthagaa beauty theleeledhu kaani, when we were leaving almost close to sunset, with the sun shining on those rocks, it was beautiful. Day 2 US Airforce Academy ------------------- Just the location of the academy is worth visiting it. Chuttu mountains, with blue sky, training flight, parachute training etc was excellent. 1-2 hrs is good. Pikes Peak Mountain ------------------- You can see this one on almost every route. Kindha nunchi choostey awesome untundhi place, with dark clouds etc. We wanted to go to the top by car but unfortunately gas thakkuva undi plus time constraint valla, we could not take the drive. So, Cog railway lo peak ki vellaamu. The whole ride was scenic. The night before, there was 8 inches of snow on the peak. At the peak, it was 15 degree F. Very very windy and chilly. You'll have 30 minutes before the train leaves the peak. Koddiga atu itu thiragachu. Day 3 Rocky Mountains --------------- Estes park nunchi Alpine peak ki drive. No words to describe the beauty of this place. AMAZING, simply AMAZING! Whole drive was like that. When we reached the Alpine peak, we could see some wildlife on the horizon. Idhi choosina taruvatha, I felt all other places were just ok. Andhukey aa places description lo antha ekkuvaga pogadaledhu. AWESOME, AWESOME place! Day 4 Flight was in the afternoon kabatti ekkuvaga thiragaledhu. Just went to the Denver ••• for timepass. Polar bears undey akkada. Will upload pictures when I get home tonight. Pictures lo ela unna, real feel was totally different. |
