How is that?? I might not have sufficient info but if the markets are not ready to provide liquidity in terms of spending potential....how would the job market accommodate all the previous market signal clogging??? The job market in US now is almost bordering the cryptic....for long there was almost indiscreet hiring....now even the most qualified are on the brink of perpetual joblessness for the last 6-7 months....... If the situation doesn't improve, we might see a 30's style....drought in the job market with more drop outs from schools and lesser funds to univs as a result.... The only job markets that are rapidly expanding now are the south east asian markets...even japan seems to have piled up sizeable number of jobs last quarter | ||

Very sorry to hear this mama  Couple of weeks ago, one of my colleague's family friend applied for visa extension with Infy i guess, and it got rejected. Within a week he had to pack and leave to India. Very sad | ||

Tomorrow around 850 layoffs at my workplace. around 10% work force reduction. I feel sorry for them. I have bee contractor at the client for past 5 years. Last year I was offered full time and when I applied EAD and by the time i received it, there was a hiring freeze. I had to apply EAD as my client does not sponsor H1's. Client is also getting rid of all the contractors. Ivvala naa team members kondharu packed all off their stuff in case they are let go tomorrow. F*** this economy. Cant see families getting devastated. |
