According to the Saifabad police officials, the victim, who attended a marriage party along with her husband, a labourer, was on her way home when the incident took place.They were accompanied by two other family members, Kumar and Gnaneswar. Her husband and Gnaneswar stopped at a pan shop while the woman and Kumar waited near a temple. Taking advantage of the situation, Kumar allegedly raped her. Some passersby who heard the woman screaming severely beat up Kumar. Two among the passersby also allegedly raped her. A case has been registered and the victim has been sent for medical examination. According to police sources, the three men have been detained for questioning. |
