Total industrial area adhi. She used to get frequent headache 'cuz of the sounds, polluted water, allergies etc. I cannot imagine myself working in that co. Every generation has their own challenges. Like you said, life was tough in british rule for our grand parents. Our parents had to walk miles to get to their schools. "Aakali Rajyam" lo choopinchanattu, unemployment was a problem back then also. Mana generation ki bikes/tvs/cars etc ani vachaayi. Competition perigindhi, but at the same time, manaki reach lo unde resources kooda perigaayi, alagey opportunities (sports, media, etc) Mana next generation ki inka lots of opportunities untai anukuntunna. I've made a choice to move to US. I am happy to face the issues with my choice too. Sure, there are times when I think of my homeland, but when the time comes I will move. | ||

my grand parents gen were with the motto of "struggle for existence" in the home country... because of british.... and I am also struggling for existence away from the home country... and that tooo british.... I guess my parents gen enjoyed freedom in homeland.... stresss free jobs.... | ||

I work 50-60 hour weeks, take care of kids and home and find time to volunteer significant amounts of time. But no, I don't think I am struggling I made all those choices knowing what was entailed - and I am living the life I chose to live ...If I do not like it I will change it - having that freedom is a blessing and I thank my Mother Goddess everyday for what I have...struggle is when you have to do something which you do not like out of necessity ...I enjoy all my work so its not a struggle for me aa chal ke tujhe main leke chalu ik aise gagan ke tale jahan gam bhi na ho, aansoo bhi na ho,bas pyaar hi pyaar pale | ||

I might not have used the right words, but I guess I could convey my thoughts...agreed that attitude makes all the difference..but 3 generations had different scenarios and different kinda opportunities..and on a lighter note appudappudu i enjoy thinking like a looser

I don't know if you can compare - I think it is the attitude that decides whether they find the life good or bad - my parents struggled a lot - but I have never seen/heard them say they suffered- If I ask them, they always have the same answer life has been very good I have the same answer - Life is good I have no complaints - yes I have materially more that what they did - but does that make my "bliss" any different from their "bliss" ? Our Parents Gen - are the most sufferers. Yet they have given us the Best of All, what they can do. These people suffered a lot between GP Gen and Our Gen in many ways (Transition perios). But Good to see Our Gen Showing them the flavours of Materialistic comforts by showing them the world atleast in thier old age. | ||

1)mana grandparents...........mostly dependent on agriculture advantage:: they dint have much competition disadvantage:: they did not enjoy the so called materialistic luxuries (the products of technological revolution) 2)mana parents ....... kula vrutthu la nunchi batiki vacharu advantage:: government jobs or jobs for life.... stable life disadvantage:: lot of sacrifices for kids mostly led hand to mouth life.. 3) manamu.................foreign countries explore cheythunnamu ....Advantages:: globaliisation and technological advancements made life easy disadv:: fierceful competition and insecurity... as far as i'm concernd given my laid back attitude i wud prefer grand parents life ..... me opinions ettandi |
