In an almost stunning revelation..........

Only 3 students from the graduating class of 2009 at IITK have expressed interest in taking US universities as a preferred destination.

This year number of people accepting offers from US employers at all IIM's fell by 68% and students are more inclined in staying back in India or seek other places like HingKong and singapore in comparison to USA.

Elsewhere in China, US is seen as a secondary choice of educational destination with more and more top of the class students at peking and Tsinghua preferring to studying in Local universities....

A 2008 survey shows that graduates from IIT's, peking university, Tsinghua university and USTC, beijing comprise of 63% of the international student body at MIT, princeton,Illionois, purdue, berkeley and Caltech. The top schools for science and technology
