He called me twice and left voice mails and sent email requesting urgent call back for a hot requirement. I called him back.. The conversation goes like this.. me: Hi.. vendor: Hello.. thank you. me: I received your voice mail and emails about a position as XXX. me: May I know the details of this job and the hourly rate you are offering to this job. vendor: Mr. XX we are prime vendor for XXX and we are looking for a XXX position. me: Yes, I have 9 years domain experience and it is clearly mentioned in resume. Btw, who forwarded my resume? vendor: monster.com me: I already in touch with another person from ur company and want to cross check whether he forwarded it to you. vendor: He said.. no idea. I took details from monster.(I dont have my phone number in monster. fishy) me: Fine. tell me more about this job. vendor: this job is for 24 months and it is in India. You need to operate from India once you get this job. me: I am looking for US jobs not interested in India jobs now. vendor: I understand. What is the problem for you to work in India if we give job and it is big company. me: If I plan to search for job in India.. I will not post resume in monster and dice, I will be looking at somewhere else.. vendor: fine. Why you dont want to work in India? me: I am a US resident and it is my choice to decide where to work.. dont call me for such kind of requirements. hung up... vendor is: collebera GCI client is: an MNC I clearly mentioned in dice/monster profile i am only interested in ny/nj markets. what a jerk he is of?
