Lexus \ Acura lo too much complicated technology use cheyyaru, so issues takkuva. MB vehicles from 2005-2007 ran into horrible issues, for that reason..MB is discontinuing more than 680 programs from their vechiles. MB Air suspension and C/S feature keka. | ||

extended warranty does not cover 100% of repair cost in most cases.when the issue arises they make every attempt to deny the claim or compensate less.However u should be safe for the first 3 years of ownership if it is a "new" vehicle and plan to sell after warranty expires. | ||

Needs to check this out, X5 kinda looks tiny to me, I wonder how did they accommodate 3rd row in it. R500 was great, but horrible issues on these vehicles. For that reason, I am thinking of leasing one for 3 years instead of buying it. But again, I am not sure to take the risk with family on long drives. Q7 test drive cheyyali, exterior super vundi. I believe PK owns one, am I Wrong? | ||

people say zf is owned by G.M and is made in mexico.The aluminum casing of the transmission would crack internally due to poor quality and the reverse gear would get stuck. | ||

I believe majority of these owner loose interest in 3-4 years of time and trade it before Warranty expires. Majority used luxury car buyers take Extended Warranty for this reason. | ||

For me German cars anyday eventhough they are not reliable like Lexus. I am in the market looking for an SUV/Crossover with a third row seat. BMW does not have one with 3rd row. Did not like 470 as the 3rd is ugly and crumpy. Liked MB R500, needs to test drive Q7 then will decide on something. Any MB R350/500 or Audi Q7 owners? Please share your experiences. | ||

Dont compare X5 with anyother vehicle..atleast not with Lexus..lexus is a boat..whereas X5 is the most rocksolid, balanced,powerful vehicle and moreover x5 is a drivers car.. | ||

That's true for all Lexus vehicles except LX470. For that matter, RX330 is a boat-ride with no road feel, it should not be called an SUV in first place. OTOH, LX is true truck with road feel and road noise. | ||

Not a apples to apples comparison in my view. If you are a enthusiastic driver then beemer is the ultimate choice. Also, beemer offers manual transmission if you prefer. I don't think lexus does... But if you are a laid back driver who enjoys the smooth rides and doesn't like road noise etc then Lexus is a terrific choice. I personally like Lexus for daily use. But i would rent a beemer for occasional/vacation weekends. Perception is immune to Intellectual Correction ... | ||

LX470 is the real truck (SUV as we call). It is built on truck platform, rugged and sturdy. Good for off-road, snow driving plus massive hauling if required. There are very few truck-based SUVs available these days. On the other hand, X5 is unibody cross-over built on 5-series (car) platform. It has much smoother (relative) ride, better handling. I had the original MB ML320 (truck based) for few years. Pros: Safe/rugged ride on all road conditions. Cons: gas guzzler. Can not drive at crazy speeds on roads due to truck like handling. Later switched to X3 (little brother of X5). Pros: Much faster and road-hugging ride on curves. Cons: Not a real SUV, so should not go crazy in snow/off-road. | ||

I used to have X5 bought used , kani too many issues. Handling wise it is the best in breed of Cross over (though this is not a typical crossover). As long as it is in warranty...I would love to have it. I dont know much about 470, except if you are trying to haul people. Nenu last year kotha Acura MDX set chesanu. MDX is about 10-15 grand less comparative to X5 even though both of them have samilar features. But probably I am sinning bhy comparing the Ultimate dream machine with Japanese make(Acura MDX is built in Canada) | ||
