personally , I dont have problem with govt funding these schools but I have a problem with how these schools are being run.. Govt should be vigilant on what is being taught and appoint responsible persons to run those schools. I think funding these schools and putting a well rounded madrasa curriculum in place( which doesnot teach abt jihad etc) is a good measure to stop breeding of fundamentalists.. There are 2 ways listed in BJP manifesto about Ram Temple. I do not know if you had a chance to go through it. In any case, let me try. BJP is for constructing a Ram Temple through a) dialogue - out of court settlement between Hindus and Muslims .. very idealistic. Do not think Muslims will agree to it. Last time in 2001-02 Kanchi Shankaracharya held 3 rounds of meetings over this matter and some muslim members were actually in favor of this in exchange for Hindus building a huge mosque in Ayodhya and giving it to Muslims. Ofcourse, not many people were aware that there were discussions on the temple issue in the period of NDA govt. I do not blame them, but the media. b) Legal process - The matter is already in Supreme Court and is sub judice. This will take a long time as there have to be excavations made by ASI and then submit their report and the court then has to call both parties and hear their versions and finally give a judgement! very big hassle ! And finally, many allies in NDA including TDP, DMK, NC, TMC are against govt giving a green signal for ASI excavations to be carried. God knows why !!! If an absolute BJP govt is formed at the centre, then I think we can expect some head start on this. Till that day the dispute is unresolved.
