Bottom line is the governance has become a big joke. In spite of so many Corporate laws and procedures, they cook the books so easily. Siphoning the funds is normal in business, but this magnitude of cooking is wonder. Not audit, even Banks and FIs review and inspect the periodical financial statements (as Banks and FIs give loans and Working Cap). No body could even sense this. But people in the industry circle know that this would happen long long back. In 95 itself I came to know that they manage their books, systems so badly. Some times they used to pay employees left the job 3 or 4 months back. | ||
