Highlevel 1. Go to live.com (belongs to Microsoft). Create free ID, and activate cashback account on the same site. 2. go to live.com and search for the product you are interested (ps3, wii, d40, ipod etc). 3. Typically the first result is from ebay, which shows 20% cashback right now. 4. Click that link which will take you to ebay and buy the item you are interested. (Make sure that "Microsoft cashback" logo is there for your item. 5. Buy the item using Buy it now (not bidding) and MUST pay using paypal. 6. 20% of the item price will be given back to you as "cash back" after 60 days to your paypal account. This you can order paypal to deposit into your bank accout or issue a check on ur name. 7. Few people claimed that they received instant cash back without any delay (as of now no proper logic/reason..its purely random) but 60 days is normal wait period. 8. there is a limit of $200 on each cash back amount. its max amount. And 10 or 12 transactions per year are allowed. (as usual our folks are creating multiple ids and make more transactions..LOL) 9. make sure that both ebay email id and paypal email id are same. 10. once you made the purchase, you will receive message from ebay in your account. go to that message and click the 'get my cashback' button. 11. now login into your cashback account on live.com, where it will show your cashback ammount as pending and will be send to paypal in 60 days. let me know if you have any questions. last few days it was at 30% but now its 20%. noone knows how long this will continue. may be it will come down to 3% or 4%. |

Welcome to DSLR world. I would like to share few things. 1. Give least important to camera. Invest most of your money in lenses. 2. Make sure that your lenses/camera has IS (Image stabilization) feature..which will reduce the blurr in picture when the shutter speed is slow (typicaly night shots). If this feature is absent you always need to carry tripod to avoid the blur which is pain. Canon call this as IS, where as Nikon calls it as VR (Vibration Reduction). Both are same. Canon and NIkon incorporated this feature into their lenses, where as Sony, Pentax, Olumpus etc build this into their cameras but not lenses. 3. If you compare D40 vs D60 I recommend go with D40 (6 mp). Its sheer waste of money to invest couple of hundreds more dollars for D60 just for 10 MP unless you want to blow up wall posters. you get same quality, features everything in D40. Least bother about mega pixels. 4. check for FPS (frames per sec), ISO range, shutter speed and other parameters before buying. (I realized this after buying a D60 ) Right now 25% cash back is going on at ebay, using Microsoft Live. Until yesterday it was 30%, now its only 20-25%, not sure how many days this will continue. I brought D60 with 18-55 and 55-200 lenses (both VR) for 510 after cashback. |

Vakkapodi:for macro photography canon has 100mm lens which is around $350. cheapest way of doing macro photography is to reverse your lens(preferably 50mm) and shoot.

Mrhyderabad:
Baby pictures antey Fixed lens ki vellu. Problem entantey it doesnt have zoom. You need to change lens frequently if you have different shooting habbits. kaani fixed lens tho kathi vastayi pics Here is the fixed lens that i suggest for Nikon, Nikkor 50mm f/1.8, the lower the f value, the great will be picture quality.. If you want this f value zoom lens if would cost you like 1200 to 1400$. |

Mrhyderabad:thanks Any lens suggestions? check my previous post for requirement list :-)
by default you get 18-55mm lens.. thats a basic one.. If you want long range.. go for 18-135mm, which is eqivalent to 7~8x digital zoom in point & shoot camera's. what lens you require depend on you shooting habbits, are you amateur or professional in photography? |
