It is an open secret that most senior government officials who have swank offices and fancy laptops gracing their tables aren't exactly hands on when it comes to computer knowledge. Most depend on their secrataries to even open their personal e-mails and even delay sending their responses to queries from the press if the IT-enabled assistant is not around. But here is a story that really tickled our funny bone. It goes like this: an official was asked by his IAS boss to prepare an excel sheet on the number of people in the department, with their salary figures. While the official took on the assignment readily, he soon realised that his secretary wasn't around that day. Not wanting to displease the Big Boss, he decided to do it himself. Well, he did succeed in opening an excel sheet document but soon hit a roadblock. He loudly complained that the names just wouldn't fit in the column space. The work was delayed for a good three days, after which the assistant came back and finished it off in minutes. http://www.greatandhra.com/ganews/viewnews.php?id=11472&cat= 15&scat=16
