Anand Garu, You are right...I have experienced this first hand...we have tried this during the Babri Masjid time to..with some disgruntled elements...unfortunately ..amongst the 150 million of them..few of them lean towards formal education (not that it will yield results..but just a hope that it broadens their thinking and view of the world outside) | ||

Of the listed 7, I think 3,4 and 6 can be acted upon in 1 term. I think if BJP can get in excess of 225 and the NDA atleast 325. Many of the other issues can be thought of ! But frankly, if BJP has to get 225+ then the people of India have to show a great maturity! The best BJP could do is 184 in 1999 on the back of a victory in the Kargil war. If people seriously think of giving BJP a chance, then they should at least give them 225. Else we will see the same inaction that Congress led UPA does (not on terror front, but things like insurance reforms, banking reforms, labor reforms, land reforms etc..) I will be happy if BJP gets majority on its own. The smaller partners of alliance will always trys to blackmail the bigger partner that they will withdraw the support if their wishes and whims are not met (Ex: Blackmail done by TDP on various occasions that they will withdraw support, Babu went to an extent that BJP should remove Modi as guj CM after Godra issue lol) Also atleast a simple majority on its own for BJP will disintegrate the forces like commies and other regional parties (TDP,BSP etc.,) to form a Third front. With atleast a simple majority on its own will help BJP to ahead with ts own agenda without a fear of deoending on allaince partners support incase of a No Confidence Motion. The Main Agenda for BJP Should be (only mentioning few of them): 1.Permanent Solution for J&K 2.Uniform civil code 3.Tougher Anti Terrorism Laws 4.Increased cooperation with Israel 5.Permanent seat in UN Security Council 6.A Bill to prohibit religious conversions 7.Kick back all the Bangla illegal migrants | ||

Shivraj patil deserves to go long time back Vilas rao, it is now time for his to go ... i am not sure about RR patil though, should not have made comments like small things do happen etc., He spoke very genuinely, holding a press conference on the road, after the oberai was cleansed up .. in fact, he was the only man to be seen around, while the operations were going on ... he even entered taj on wednesday itself, in the midst of the operations and conducted an enquiry while security were disposing a bomb ... donno if he is really incompetent to go, unless for his silly comments | ||

Yesterday, Shivraj Patil was shown the door. Today Maharastra Deputy CM R.R.Patil is shown the door. Speculations are rife that CM Vilas Rao Deshmukh is the next to go. I do not understand, if there will be a change in the approach of the ones to come. It is the approach that was the problem in tackling terror not the men in the chair. If you replace Vilas Rao with Prithvi Raj Chauhan and still pursue the age old policies which have brought this havoc, is it going to be of any use. Will Congress under 'Madam Sonia' stop appeasement and start governing impartially?
