Elca mama ..this is my view; Dhaa View : Slumdog Millionaire Its a thriller, a comedy,a entertainer, a love story, emotional drama, a movie for all..and thats Slumdog Millionaire.. okke movie lo inni flavors ella vuntayi that too 2 hrs movie lo (remember Lagaan is 3.30 hrs movie) anaa question ippudu meeru nanu adagochu..idhe question nenu ninanti ninchi nanu nene aduguthunaa...and moreover this movie is made by a foreigner..i just cant believe it...okka indian director dream movie idhi... OK..Regular indian movie ki ee movie ki antha difference enti..? My only answer is reality of the premise...honesty of the concept..discipline of the actors...extraordinary screenplay...visually great..direction is on par...and moreover no songs... ee scene tharuvathaa enti ani guess cheyatam kastam...no clues... in short..this movie is about the fate of one Jamal Malik...which happens as written... dheeni chepataniki base is the 'Kaun Banega crorepati' program..just mind blowing On the screen: Andharu actors have performed to there best..Anil kapoor, Irfan khan,Mahesh majrekar as seasoned actors performed well.. But important gaa chepukovalsindhi..abt the kids who have excelled...they have shown so much maturity..simply superb.. Jamal Malik gaa act chesinaa Dev Patel is cool, confident, subtle.. Off the screen: Screenplay: 150 marks, the best screenplay in recent times..its like making forrest gump in a more entertaining way. great.. Music: ARR at his best..Movie lo 4 themes use chesadu , which are just awesome.. One is what u see in the trailer..same tune ni inko scene lo use chesadu the best , when kids where trying to escape..aa BGM tho aripinchadu.. And the love theme..oh man..its was jeans theme as my ringtone..malli idhi..he is great.. And the other one is a fusion used to describe the slums of mumbai.. Oscar definite gaa raavali..its the music which higlighted many scenes.. Cinematography: Mumbai ni kallaku katinatu choopetadu..just awesome...use chesinaa colors are good... Direction: No Indian director has shown Mumbai so perfectly,so real...not even in Salaam Bombay..he knows what he wants..ekkada kooda pace taggaledhu..same tempo...bottomline is entertainment... okka scene lo kids mother chanipothundhi...general gaa ee director ayinaa edupu choopetali..not even once the kids have cried..thats the greatness of these characters..andhuke movie is entertaining..kids ki kastalu vachinaa..manaku mathram ekkada kastam lekunda choopinchadu director...some scenes are heartbreaking..u will cry..not the characters..inthakaana em chepalenu... Overall gaa its a team effort Is its ur Pocket worth: Absolutely Yes..I recommend this to everyone..any fan..any genre..any language...music kosam cinemani enni saralainaa choodochu...adhi aa music impact.. Finally, ee cinemani miss avakandi..cinemalo chinna chinaa loopholes vunnayi..but the way screenplay goes u will ignore them just like that.. first 45 min is in hindi, second complete english (all characters start speaking english..understood bcoz of the global factor).AND MOST IMPORTANTLY THEATER LO SOUND SYSTEM BAGALEKAPOTHE VELAKANDI..THIS IS VERY MUCH NEEDED..RAHMAN BGM IS AT HIS EVER BEST.. The word is DESTINY The movie SLUMDOG dwells on the aspect of destiny and it beautifully weaves a story of childhood love, betrayal, brother hood and friendship around it. The movie starts with Jamal only one question away from the highest prize in Indian TV show The catch is JAMAL is a slum dweller with no education His occupation is serving Tea and snacks for call center employees So the idea of such a person winning the most coveted prize money in Indian TV show where even the most educated folks fail to get through a certain benchmark raises a question of suspicion from Jamals part and he will be subjected to some 3rd degree interrogation methods to puke the truth out of him. In this process Jamal narrates his life to us and in each important stage of his life we come to know how LIFE taught him answers to some of the most difficult questions which he is later going to answer in the Indian version of WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONARIE A very interesting concept made more engaging with some fine crafting from Danny Boyle and a STUPENDOUS background score from Rahman Danny has captured the energy of slums and the innocence of childhood so well dat if someone wont feel anything for Chota Jamaal when he goes through losing his mother and his love at such an young age then they need to consult their psychiatrist. Rahman sets the screen on fire man..... The score for the SYaan number its heavenly...... And DANNY IS THE FIRST DIRECTOR I HAVE SEEN WHO PERFECTLY COMPLEMENTED RAHMANS SCORE WITH HIS PICTURIZATION....HE COMPLEMENTED RAHMAN BETTER THAN MANIRATNAM. The casting is APT.... The way the characters retain their nature and the same spark in their eyes in three stages of life is awesome A special mention to the female lead here . The way the child artist brings dat mischief spark in her eyes when young Jamaal recites "Dharshan dho Ghanshyam" is again retained in the same manner by the female lead when she sees Jamal saying "I want to play" on WHO WANTS TO BE A MAIIONAIRE No wonder Danny compared her to Kelly Mcdonald One complaint is the movie is in Hinglish It could have been better if it was completely in Hindi Also the DRAMA and EMOTIONS in the climax could have been made better if the lead pair was not introduced again midway after they grew up Also the reason for Jamal going to the game show is not justified enough for me On the whole you will be taken for an amazing ride if you like Dannys style of taking through this film Don't Miss it Punch Dialogue_______"If its not for Allah or RAM my mother would have been alive"....JAMAL |
