It has been a scintillating 5 years experience. TotalTollywood is just few weeks short of 5 years mark. What started as a hobby turned into almost full time job. Even though TotalTollywood.com started in 2003, the roots lay a few years ago. It was in 99 that I first created a website for my favorite star, hosted on geocities, which became very popular then. After graduation and getting sucked into job world, I lost a bit of touch with it. Occasionally, I went back to the site but did not do much. I could find some time in 2001-2002, during which time I started yet another site on my favorite Telugu movie stars and was even approached by one of the leading Telugu Film website to host the same content on their site. I was a little hesitant but that very thought put me into the mould of designing TotalTollywood.com. Ever since it gave it’s best. It was a rough ride initially. Websites were not considered part of the press. It was my cousin who first got into the road work and tried helping me out. We were settled by 2004 and Phani came on board in April of 2004. I feel proud of what we have achieved so far. Being the designer, developer and editor is not an easy task and it is more than a full time job. Hard part is that I already have a full time job in Telecom and Embedded domain. For the past so many years, I have been balancing both full time job and also the website. Passion for films and the support we received from within the industry and from outside kept us going with full pace on the website. Life goes on and presents new challenges and provides opportunities that might ask for some tough decisions. I am at that kind of a point now. I have been contemplating this decision for more than a month now and with a heavy heart I have to announce the closing of this website effective 12th November. It is a very tough decision for me as TotalTollywood.com became a part of my life. But I see time crunch issue with other priorities taking the foreseat. TotalTollywood.com is a brand now and I would let some one else take on the brand name and utilize it appropriately. If interested, please email me at admin@totaltollywood.com.
