as in there is no FORMULA so to speak which when fed will give you all prime divisors of a number. One has to search for solutions in the "ENTIRE" solution space possible. It is akin to finding a needle in a hay stack...U have to search the hay until U find it coz there is no information available a priori on how might the positional configuration of the needle might be distributed in the haystack when all other factors are deemed independent. | ||

in short knapsack is a recursive optimization problem who solution set in non trivial (non zero) but there is no easier way of extracting the solution than by the standard trial and error and hence is extremely inefficient in terms of computational speed. as an instance, given a number and asked to find all its prime divisors, there is only one "known" way of doing it and that is picking every prime number between 1 and "n". in short a variant of knapscak says: "can a value of at least V be achieved without exceeding the weight W?"..paraphrasing it into our cricketing parlance, "can a cricketing value of at least V be achieved without exceeding the head weight of W?" In a decision problem the answer is a yes or no. In our case the answer is Yes and it is kumble. We found it posterior true to its nature of being NP hard. | ||

Yes I miss the skidding straight deliveries that go hit the pad before the batsman can react or just went to crash the stumps..he got so many wickets like that.. I have learnt and applied that art (of skidding deliveries) to whatever little cricket I played.. | ||

The fighter who has fought relentlessly all his battles for India..and has finally hung up his boots..We all will surely miss him.. Here are some of his achievements that I would like to share... Bowling and a broken jaw don't really go together..inspite of that he got Lara out too He was the only centurion in the whole series in England..from both the sides at the age of 37...inspite of so many batting stalwarts on both the sides..he being a bowler was the only centurion... No one has seen how Jim Laker bowled..and who his opponents were ..but to get all 10 wickets in the innings against one of our bitter rivals on the cricketing field in the modern era will probably remain etched in the memories of many cricket lovers for a while There are many more such instances that I cherished watching.. We all will miss the fighter.It was a pleasure watching Anil Kumble all this years.. |
